Here's a mullet pattern straight from the fly box of none other than Colin Macleod, the Mullet Messiah himself! But it;s not just good for mullet fishing. It's also a very effective pattern for bass. Fish it as the point fly on a longish cast, about 80cm away from a dropper. In good tidal flow, drift the flies for thick-lipped mullet. When the flow stops, you can pull it like a small lure. And if a mullet takes....hold on!!! It's a cracking pattern.
