In relationship to the comment made below which states "Lou had that something special with his voice. Others were fabulous but Lou had that extra it. Just one of the best performances and music. Great to be alive....I rocked in the 80's. Thanks" The something is called a gift from God the very magical nuancical elements that give him that signature tone that can't be replicated. Additionally its the same attributes that make cetera, steve perry, brad delph irreplaceable in their genre. You have to have a trained ear to really note the deltas in the quality. With Brad if you listen to him the way his voice modulates upward and downward on a phrase combined with the timber of the voice, the organic nuances that are emitted from their deep soul experience is something that cannot be replace along with a crisp edge on their voice and a most key element is the annunciations on their phrasing. If you listen microscopically its all revealed on why their is distinctive gaps between the lead singers now who replaced them. Yes they hit the notes and replicate some of the timber but let me tell you there is a lot more differences they can't replicate. Louie had an edge on his voice with the timber you just can't replicate so he becomes the voice of foreigner as cetera is the voice of chicago.
