Bette Davis ... It is good to see some of the young still pay homage to a great star, she was amazing in (all) her roles. I loved the way she would twirl her cigarette in circles to make a point. Her mannerism, her walk, and her intense personality was a force to be reckon with ....golden! She created the persona of Bette Davis to the max and lifted herself to forever star quality.

If you had walked on a few more steps in the Sanctuary of Enduring Protection would would have seen the private family crypts that will be used by Motown Records Founder Barry Gordy. There is a short gate with the letter G on the doors of the gate and the large private entry area also has a G set into the stone of the floor. There are 8 crypts and it is said that Michael Jackson was resting in one of the Gordy family crypts until the Jackson family decided where Michael's final resting place would be. You also walked by the crypt of movie actress Sandra Dee., Hollywood's 'Gidget.' My niche when I need it is just around the corner of the Sanctuary of Salvation across from Enduring Protection. The wall niches are in a terraced area fittingly called Serenity Terrace but there is no sign indicating the section. It's quite tranquil there. Thank you for posting your video and for honoring some of the legends of the Courts of Remembrance.

What a wonderfully tranquil place. Wish all cemeteries could be like this. Here in the U.K. nowadays,they are totally unimaginative and depressing. This country doesn’t do death well at all.

@martinryan3318

@@waxkopp Yes. Average wait time for a funeral is 3 weeks. They don’t approve of viewings and funeral homes are without any of the rightful panoply that the same have in the US and other European countries. No effort to make it a less grim experience over all. Sad as The English originally did funerals very well,certainly stemming from Victorian times,with The Queen having a particular interest in funeral rites.

@@martinryan3318 3 weeks!? So that means a corps has to stay in the morgue for 3 weeks.? That really sounds bad. No dignity for the family or the dead person. And decomposition begins right after you died. 😶

Death separates us from our beloved ones, it darkens our bright holidays, it always spoils the joy of our existance, it deprives of sense all the efforts of home arrangement, accumulation of money, getting education, piling up knowledge and various skills. All our titles, diplomas, certificates, awards, decorations become useless, completely useless when our hearts stop beating. Our bodies, so cherished during our lifetime, though washed, perfumed, covered with flowers will inevitably become food to worms or fire at last. How we hate and fear that cold snake - the death ! There is One, however, Who hates it even more. God, Who brings all things into existence, Who breathes life in all living creatures. He Himself is the very negation of the death, absolutely incompatible with it. That is why, immediately after death entered the world, even before that, God had a plan how to defeat it. The problem was not a technical one. There are no technical problems to God. A million of difficulties, many of them insoluble, stand before our physicians, biologists, scientists, engineers, all of them trying to prolong the life of the sick and the old even though an extra day. It is not the case to the Almighty. He is in absolute control of all physical, chemical, biological laws in nature, so He is able to give a perfect health and life to each of His creatures at every moment of the time. The problem to God was juridical : How to acquit the sinful man in order to have the right to give him eternal life. He could not free him from the guilt arbitrarily; justice demands punishment for crimes. God needed a legal ground to discharge the guilty man. And He found the solution, the only solution. Christ took upon himself the punishment we deserved for our sins. Although not guilty, he was beaten, insulted, and finally killed on the cross - to pay our debt to God. And since then, since first century A.D. a striking message, most important in all human history, started spreading all over the inhabited earth: Everyone who (first) repents, that is confesses and rejects lies, thievery, murder, lechery, everything that is wrong, and (second) believes in Jesus Christ, confesses him in public as a Lord and Saviour, receives from God complete forgiveness of the sins and (!) ETERNAL LIFE. Can we grasp it ? Everyone accepting that gift had to be baptized in water and take Lord's Supper with Christians. All authority of the Creator stand behind that promise.
