@MrTrollsen kind of depends. Modern sport archery yes. They usually use a horizontal draw. To about jaw. This is because of peep sight alignment. Traditional archery you typically angle back slightly to engage lats and will use a high draw and anchor off corner of lip or if going more Asiatic, further back. Take a look at modern barebow and longbow tournaments.

They shot more accurately with the second bow because firstly it's a lot heavier so it's easier to stabilize it while holding it and secondly u need more strength to draw it and because of that when u let go of the string the bow gives a lot more strength to the arrow resulting in arrow flying faster so if u aimed properly it will hit the target more accurately
@kamilrosinski3154
5 жыл бұрын
@Dmac 740 overall yes, it's a better bow. But u have to consider the fact that it was supposed to be the bow used in fight in the middle of the battle so weight here matters bc of amount of times you'll have to pick that bow up. Not even mentioning the fact that it didn't had any blockade in the middle so there's a slight risk of it just "popping" out in the middle of the battle which is highly dangerous. So in the end the 1st bow was better in the battle but the 2nd bow was overall better if we would be talking about using it outside of battle or at really long range.
