To many experts giving advice to new sellers about these pallet buying. People thinking they can get rich quick. I can’t tell you in the last six years how many calls I have gotten to come buy out peoples stock. Who bought pallets of returns etc who thought they would get rich quick. But never buy any of it. eBay has gotten horrible. Their fees are crazy and I’ve had about five or six items listed for a few weeks and only got one or two views on a few items and most of them had no views at all so eBay is burying my listings and apparently this is happening to a lot of people, so I’m done with eBay.

They are sharing google with this so they can make more money. They are controlling the traffic all over the world. Ebay can't be trusted anymore. As my opinion i blame the customers who dealing with eBay make them that strong to control the traffic. Customers should quit dealing with eBay

Nope. Almost none of these places are better for the sellers. They all charge high fees and make it extremely difficult for the sellers to make any real money. Shopify is a good place for an online shop, but then you spend twice as much time driving customers to it. All these online market places have gotten away from supporting their sellers and only into making money for themselves.

@@e-spy I don't have to go through 50 item descriptions to list clothing on Poshmark and after three days if a buyer doesn't open a claim to return there is no return available. Cuts down on buyer's remorse. Also if USPS loses an item Poshmark takes care of you the seller and the buyer instead of Ebay pushing the missing package on you the seller to figure out or take a loss. I am really happy to pay Poshmark 20% for the services they do. Plus Poshmark emails you a shipping label on a sale that you don't have make extra steps to buy the shipping label. Shoes, coffee mugs, have the best shipping cost on Poshmark compared to Ebay's shipping if I can't put them in a padded flat rate any package under 5 pounds is $7.67. I have sold many items in one Large USPS box on Poshmark for $7.67 where a pair of shoes on Ebay can cost double easily. I still love Ebay and have things listed but if the item descriptions to fill in are too long I just list on Poshmark.

I don't like some of the changes ebay has made and continues to but it is hard to beat for traffic, low barrier to entry marketplace.

Not accurate: A) Amazon's large sales difference is made up of their branded items, and streaming services. As Ebay only has branded shipping supplies and a few other things and no streaming services. HUGE difference!! B) Public sourced information on Amazon's customers are ALL registered (active and not active) including streaming. Ebay's quarterly users report is based on listing/selling and buying activity of anything during that quarter. That's like saying "I have 1 Million dollars... I mean if you add up all the records over the past XYZ years, then yeah. Opposing to what you currently have over a 3 month period. Awesome disinformation. You started with two very inaccurate tidbits of information, so that is as far as I got in the video.

Does anyone actually buy from the 3rd party sellers on Walmart? I personally avoid them because they are significantly overpriced, also charge shipping and there are a lot of counterfeit products. @Justme0528
Жыл бұрын
@@albertodeulofeu5277 ugh I wish I could upload a photo on here. Usually you can tell just from the packaging. It will feel cheaper and the words will be spaced odd or the packaging will be completely different, it's a whole lot easier to tell when you've bought the product for years and have the real one to compare to. But the biggest indicator was the product itself. It had a completely different smell and texture and when I put a little on the back of my hand it dried sticky whereas the real one pretty much evaporates and leaves the skin smooth. I bought dove deodorant from Amazon for a little cheaper than usual and I used it for months and was thinking I had all of a sudden developed sweating problems lol but when I bought another one straight from Walmart I suddenly realized the Amazon ones were fake. The packaging was completely different - the bottle was smaller, the words were odd, the nozzle didn't spray properly and the deodorant itself felt different. I've bought many fakes over the years but I'm starting to learn not to buy certain products from Amazon, ebay or 3rd party companies. Granted the person who accused you of selling fakes may have just wanted to be able to return the product and it not be considered buyers remorse but then again maybe he's just got a lot of counterfeits and he's paranoid. Gillette razors, makeup products, face/hair/beauty products, sports jerseys, victoria's secret clothes, handbags, ugg boots, etc, etc so many things are faked and being mass produced in China and sold to people who don't know any better. I wish they would just ban the Chinese sellers but A) they would never because they bring in so much profit and B) the Chinese sellers are (supposedly) shipping from US facilities which makes it more difficult to tell. Trust me I get it. A few years ago I had a lady buy 4 higher end sports cards and try to claim they were all fake 🤦♀️ and the worst part is she got away with keeping half of them and damaging the others she did actually send back and I was too new to reselling to know I could file a police report and everything.

I tried Amz FBA for a while. Just know it is likely just a matter of time before they hold your inventory hostage for some unfound claim or simply destroy it...oh and then suddenly they are on the same listings selling the items directly, when you are the private label brand owner. I have a small business where I make my own goods and sell on both eBay and Amazon. My sales with Amazon is roughly twice but I enjoy getting the sales through eBay more. Amazon customers can be demanding and returns are more common. Seller support with Amazon huh? eBay has far greater seller support and they have a program for international shipping which the others don't. I have gotten several orders through eBay through International shipping and all I do is ship to eBay’s shipping center and not have to worry about International rates and tariffs. Listing on eBay is easier than Amazon. Getting paid is another big deal, never once had any problems with eBay and you have options. I do t trust having to use PayPal. They threaten people all the time. Maybe one day they steal my money. That’s the kind of thing they do. Any suggestions for other platforms. That don’t make you use Pal Pal?

I would not touch Amazon if you are a small business- You have no control over postage which must be purchased from Amazon - all products have to be sent tracked- Customer service is geared to favour the buyer. Common for buyers to scam you even with proof of receipt - Many seller are leaving.

I'd like to leave them. Can't do it overnight though. Have to build business elsewhere online first.

1. Amazon….no way 2. Open own store….how do you drive traffic?? 3. Walmart…..not really a good option(Walmart stuff is cheap, buyer are broke) 4. Bonanza….I made 1 sale per month on bonanza(while I make thousands on eBay with Same products) 5. FB marketplace…Not! Haha, is this available? Is this available? Oh hey sorry I didn’t mean to hit that button. None of these are good alternatives. I’m not sure this guy even really sells online. If he did he would know these are not reasonable alternatives.

Thank you very much for this video. I believe that it was the most informative video (on any subject) that I have seen on the internet. This video could be the foundation of a full blown course or in person seminar for us old folks. Continued luck going forward.

Here in California, when tou become visible with EBAY selling anything....you immediately get the sales tax forms. Then forms from the County Assessor....taxing any invintory, Then the income tax forms from the state, also the forms from the IRS. On most stuff, its cheaper to toss it in the dumpster. Also thise hours boxing, double boxing, then stating in line at the post office or UPS. Think the dumpster is calling....." Feed me, Feed me ! "

It is now common for FBA shipments to go "missing" while being received in Amazon warehouses.

You spend more money doing e-commerce on your own and you don't get much traffic. It's good to start on other platforms first as you mentioned. But I wouldn't recommend Etsy. Too many scam artists!

Ebay is horrible. I've been selling for years and during Covid shipping was delayed. They took money from my account and never gave it back despite me having evidence of it arriving at it's destination. Eventually I got suspended and they never gave me a clear reason why. They told me they cannot tell me for privacy reasons. Classic big corporations ruining individuals lives just because they don't want to invest the time and effort to help you out. You are all replaceable and for them it's easier/cheaper not to have you as a customer instead of helping you out.

Gahhh.. I have been an Amazon seller for 22 years.. They do not care about their sellers.. The policies are very restrictive , and they come out with new rules every few weeks. Bots are everywhere and charge sellers with policy violations all the time. Sometimes warranted,, sometimes not. On top of that,, you are advocating for FBA.. That is crazy. Once you send your product to an FBA warehouse,, not only does it take weeks or months to get checked in,, they lose inventory all of the time.. Back to the policy violations,,, If you have inventory in an Amazon warehouse,, when a policy violation occurs and you are deactivated, they refuse to pay you or give your inventory back, AND sell off your stolen inventory with "Warehouse Deals".. or liquidate YOUR inventory by the truckload.. NEVER go FBA.. Seller services are out of India and they just read from a script.. You could be talking to a wall.. Amazon used to be a good place to sell,, and I still do all FBM (fullfilllment by merchant) only.. They take 15 percent of the sales price AND 15 percent of your shipping.. Pro seller account is an additional 39 bucks a month. If you have a warehouse in California,, the state is sending HUGE tax bills. Also California has restrictions on items.. California Energy Commission (CEC). Sellers of these products must also register them in the Modernized Appliance Efficiency Database (MAEDBS)... CEC registration requirements for lighting products, pool products and portable spa products, portable air conditioners, computers, and monitors. Amazon is full of pitfalls and red tape.. Expect your first 2 or 3 months to be restricted and have funds withheld. Ebay is probably the place to be right now.

You need a $1 million liability insurance to sell on Amazon. You never will have anything close to a customer relationship on Amazon.

Ebay keeps locking people out of their accounts if they don’t login for a while. ... Not good to make people have to drop what they’re doing, and start doing work just to log into your legit account.
