Hi Andrew! THIS is the kind of RV/RVer storytelling that you are so good at, and it's kind of refreshing to see where 18-20 years of coach design has (and hasn't) changed. Thanks for introducing us to the Alfa and Raymond!

I like this, the interviewing of actual customers who explain the use of and what the personal touches are to their RVs. More please 👍

I love what he did to this Alfa. Love the desk and the drawers so that they don’t fall open while driving. He did a great job all around. Thank you Andrew for the tour of this coach.

This was a blast. Showing what owners have done to their older coaches to make them more livable today is a great theme. You have me hooked on Country Coach and there's a dedicated "Mods and Upgrades" page you could go to to see how older coaches can be made modern and more livable/useable. Noodle on that for future episodes.....if it will make $ more sense.

This is what i was talking about in a different post in a sense. Spending time with the owner of a coach. The way you used to do ❤. One of the best early videos you did was when you were sitting in a coach in the driveway at the owners house with the owner of the coach. The insight into that coach was priceless for the new owners. They had a front row seat into the coaches history from the owner himself through you. Want to talk about value!

Probably your best, most informative, and enjoyable vid in a great while. Your title is inappropriate for the amount of hospitality you were shown by the owner. Thank you for sharing!

Owner was very nice regarding the ride quality of his 'freight-shaker' chassis. Most Spartan chassis coaches during that same time frame had independent front suspension with a much better ride quality.

Great video. Nice to get an approach to RV that can be for the everyday person. I enjoy watching the expensive top shelf RV tours but realistically “Affordable RV life” is for most of us much more attainable.

Great video! I know Alpha has had reputation for not the best Bill quality, but they certainly had some great ideas in floorplans and using full-size furniture and clever ideas. One thing he may not be aware of is above the slide out is a small trough area, and that is called fishing pole storage Where you can lay along fishing pole on top of the slide out trim so you don’t have to disassemble it to put it in the basement storage. Also, on the Alpha gold models, they had heated floors available, but only up to the kitchen. I love the idea of putting it in the shower and in the drivers compartment of the Coach what a great idea. The word Alfa stands for a loving family affair. That’s a quote from Johnny Thanks again for this video. It’s very encouraging to see somebody taking an older coach and bring it up to standards. and showing us cool things that people have done with an older coach. we still enjoy all the new Coach videos as well. Thank you for this channel Andrew.

I think this is the first Alfa I've seen that is not all WHITE! The previous owner spent a lot for the paint job but it sure makes it look like a totally different coach. Interesting story about the son @ Fleetwood starting out on his own making Alfa's. Never heard that before in my over 20 years of being around Class A's. This guy/current owner did a great job on that shower and heated floor(s) where he added. Has to be another first on a heated tiled shower floor!

Do you have an Alfa with the cabinet?
@MonacoMike
7 ай бұрын
@@Ray_Alfa No but I have an '05 Monaco with a similar computer desk that I've been trying to figure out how to modify the pull out drawer to have space for using a mouse. Recently I had thought about designing a replacement, or insert, that had a pull-out 'wing' for a mouse. If I could dome up with plans on how to build one I can get a woodworking shop up in Indiana to build it for me.

I owned a 2002 'See Ya' for a short time and this is the first Alfa I have ever seen that wasn't painted white. Mine also didn't have that horrid 'see you' on the face, how embarrassing was that sign? My problem wasn't the fiberglass but a transmission problem. It would kick out of gear going up hills. Allison world 3000 transmission just wouldn't climb a hill. This unit looks great!. Alpha had the widest slide outs (40") on the left side of ANY RV at the time. I really loved mine, and wanted it to work, but alas...

I agree, you could have used other language other then “Poor mans coach” some people simply do not have a million or two available to them, as such they target other options which are more affordable to them. These Class A coaches are still pricy for the “average buyer” Words matter, anyone who has the luxury of owning an Alpha is hardly “poor”
