Not only is Formaldehyde in SO. MANY. PRODUCTS that expose you over and over again to this toxin, but exposures are happening multiple ways every day.
Because formaldehyde is a VOC, we breathe it in when it off-gasses from building materials, furniture, carpet and pillows (which are faces are DIRECTLY on, by the way).
But formaldehyde is also in our skin care products, personal care products and worst of all, baby and kid products. That means the toxin is sitting directly on our skin, where we absorb it into our body.
And formaldehyde is also used on our textiles and fabrics (ever buy anything that claims to be "wrinkle free"? It likely had formaldehyde embedded in the fibers to keep it from wrinkling). These small particles from fabrics end up in our dust around our home -- which as gross as it sounds, we ingest).
And so, when a toxin is in multiple areas around our home space AND we're being exposed in all three of these ways (inhalation, absorption and ingestion), it becomes a HUGE stressor on our body.
