Mold in the pan pie crust for black skillet
2 cups all-purpose flour
2 tbsp granulated sugar
1 tsp salt
1/2 cup vegetable oil
4 tbsp milk
Mix together flour, salt, and sugar in a pie pan.
Stir in all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, salt
Stir in milk and slowly add oil. Keep stirring until a good dough forms (you may not need all of the oil).
1/2 cup vegetable oil, 4-6 tbsp milk
Mix well with a fork and pat the pie dough out to fit the pan.
Bake at 350 until brown (usually about 10 minutes). If the recipe calls for an unbaked shell, skip this step.
Karo pecan pie (same one my granny used with additions for low sugar)...
1 cup brown sugar (packed) (for less add 1/2 cup brown sugar and 1/2 cup Splenda)
1 cup Karo Light ( with no high fructose ) (1/2 cup light corn syrup for less sugar 1/2 cup maple syrup)
3 Large eggs
2 tbsp cup butter, melted (not 1/4 cup as video says)
1 tsp salt
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
2 tsp water
1-1/2 cups (6 ounces) pecans
1 (9-inch) unbaked OR frozen deep-dish pie crust
Directions
Preheat oven to 350°F. Place rimmed cookie sheet on the center rack in oven while preheating.
Mix corn syrup, eggs, sugar, butter vanilla et al. Mix using a spoon. Stir in pecans.
Pour filling into unbaked pie crust or frozen pie crust.
Carefully place pie on the preheated cookie sheet on the center rack of oven and bake for 60 to 70 minutes (see tips for doneness, below). Cool for 2 hours on wire rack before serving...
