Sreetips. As a scientist, I love what you are doing. I know NOTHING about processing precious metals; my expertise is in the biological sciences. That said, I love how hard you work to show the necessary steps that need to be taken to ensure that dangerous chemicals are treated with respect. Most KZitemrs don’t care about fume hoods or lab safety. Your videos are like nerd ASMR. Keep doing what you do! The scientific community approves!

Another great video. The gold sponge left after dissolving out the silver and base metals looked about the best I've seen based on the color so I'm not surprised the final bar came out as good as it did. You were pouring off a fair amount of fine gold while rinsing so I imagine that's where some of those grams went. It's hard to capture the look of pure gold on camera and of course you can't record that weird feeling of something that small being way too heavy for its size that gold or platinum gives.

Me too. interested in it's texture and how malleable it is , does it snap in half, bend, crushed in pliers or some thing. I watched one of the videos where the stir bar had beat a batch of sponge and it had looked like gold metal was stuck to it with what looked like chunks of beaten gold metal on the bottom of the beaker. I have often wondered if that sponge was put into an enclosed die would the product come out as gold metal. Thanks for the videos.

My dad was a Experimental Diving Instructor for the Navy. He was also a Sargent Aviation Specialist 101st. His base was in Panama. He told me about propellents, fuel sources for x craft he flew for NASA. He made the first mobile decompression chamber for the Army. For deep sea recovery. He said the Navy would always ask him to borrow it. Only metallurgy he taught me was how to use metal as a propellant. .

I was a main propulsion engineer in the navy. But I flew commercial instrument multi engine aircraft for a while afterward. We have things in common. I invented the first weed eater as a kid in 1969. I was given a chore to trim the weeds around the base of our house before I could go with my friends. I had mounted a Cox .049 model airplane gas engine, with propeller, on a piece of wood and used it to finish the job in ten minutes. Would have taken an hour to trim it with hand-held cutters.
