Very good comparison, the Foxeer really does impress for the price - and I think more sensible to carry on 250 sized quads

+CurryKitten I agree and I think it will get even better with future firmware releases and hacks.

My favorite camera comparison to date. Good job with the 4way split. And the freeze of the screen. And the side by side split. And the Yi enhanced version. And just letting the video roll before you started your commentary. Well done. We know there are a couple of Yi versions out there. The final thing would be a Yi 22 versus the 23L with supposedly the IR filter reduced or removed. And for the curious, whether a Yi with the GoPro lense would give better result..while keeping the cost in the sub

+David M Thanks David, so pleased you have taken the time to give such detailed feedback, and thanks for the information on the Yi versions, I found that my Yi is version 23L (without the IR filter) which explains the lens flare and colour issues. I will order a replacement lens to see if it improves the Yi. The results from the RunCam2 look good, you have made a good choice, I think it would perform very favourably in comparison to the Yi and Foxeer.

A test between the foxeer and the new runcam v2 would be very interesting.

Really nice comparison ycopter. Thanks for putting in the work. How involved was the post processing you did, & what package did you use for that? Cheers.

+Lex Dysia Thanks, post processing was quite complex getting everything synchronised and lined up, I used PowerDirector 13.

Excellent comparison! Just one question immediately springs to mind; did you enable wide dynamic range on the mobius? No idea if the other camera's have similar settings or whether or not they are enabled by default.

+P44man Thanks. Yes the WDR was enabled on the Mobius.

First! Grest comparison, really useful with a clear winner, at least until price is factored in.

Hello, very good comparsion, very usefull. Can you please share your enhanced settings for Xiaomi Yi, Mobius and Foxeer cams? Thanks.

+Pablo FPV Thanks for your feedback. The actual settings won't be much use to you as they are dependent on ambient lighting and the video editing program you are using. As a general rule I play with brightness and contrast until I get a good balance, add a little sharpening and then tweak the colour. I start with white balance and then adjust saturation and if required the 'hue'. Hope this makes sense.

A good side by side comparison, it must take quite a bit of effort to do this kind of testing....I have been using my Mobius for the last 18 months gathering hours of FPV flight Video, I like it....even doubling as a Flight Camera and HD capture....I suppose it also depends upon the type of flying you do, at low level and high speed, 30fps can make the image a bit jerky, but on a plane higher up, its much more acceptable...The Mobius, even in your test is good in low light compared to the others, and I like it because of that since it makes it a usable flight Camera. True, the colours are sometimes a bit off, but for the money, its very good value in my opinion (£46 now.!). The user Software is also first rate too. The low frontal area of the Mobius is also very appealing, but the Yi and GoPro are terrible in this respect. Not that impressed with the Foxeer really, but the RunCam2 is not too bad. Pay your money, and make your choice I suppose....:)

+EnglishTurbines Hello and sorry for the slow reply. You are right, it does take quite a bit of effort and time to produce these kind of videos, but I enjoy sharing the knowledge so that's OK. They are all good camera's in their own way, I love the form factor of the Mobius but its image quality lets it down compared to the Foxeer and the Yi. Fortunately they are all getting cheaper as there is so much choice now.
