It kind of makes me sad watching this video because it seemed like she had a lot of plans for the future and seemed so excited about them, but everything after the Chyna Doll era just to go downhill for her and she was never able to pick herself back up when it came to her career. She still made a huge impact among female rappers but she deserved to have more longevity and to have accomplished much more things.
@kwwells9531

What do you consider achieve much more? Do you realize she had some health issues?
@klassicalmuzik
4 жыл бұрын
Kw Wells I think he was implying that before the health issues (specifically her hearing loss as the major one) came along there were other factors that played into her downfall. For example, in between Chyna Doll and Broken Silence she got into a nearly fatal car accident, battled a drug addiction, got robbed at gunpoint (with her mother next to her) from her own home, broke up with her fiancé (Kurupt), and then her Uncle died in the American Airlines Flight 587 in 2001. After Broken Silence she had issues with her record company, Def Jam, and after putting two years of hard work into her fourth album it got canceled and she left the label. Then she put more work into making her own independent label, was ready to release a new album, had all these gigs booked and then all of a sudden she lost her hearing. After that, people in the industry abandoned her and considered her unemployable. Thankfully she got her hearing back after a year, but that wasn’t the end of her troubles. She also faced legal issues for several years after. So yes there are a lot of factors contributing to her issues (half of which weren’t even her fault) aside from her health issues and hearing loss. Personally, I love Foxy so much, but I love Inga more, so I don’t care if she decides never to make music again. All I want is for her to be happy and healthy. She’s given us so many wonderful tunes and made an impact on rap music that as far as I’m concerned, she’s a legend and an icon.

@@lepristineking Brandy critiqued Aaliyah in a shady way. They squashed it, but Aaliyah was offered the role in ‘Scary Movie’ where she would’ve been parodying Brandy’s character in ‘I Still Know What You Did Last Summer’ and Aaliyah said she didn’t want to do that. Brandy has an issue with slipping the lip 😂😂
