Trond, maiden my FPV3 last Friday and I got to say it's one of the best planes I've built! Super easy to control/stable and fast! Thanks mate.

Excellent video of the construction steps. I can see several places to save a lot of weight using carbon fiber sheets instead of wood, and using the shrink Poly-Kote covering for regular balsa build RC planes instead of tape. Awesome footage...

Hi Fpv trond, i hope and wish that you will do a video on how your electronics are connected. Also,how to flash the turigy 9 channel radio. you make scratch build a lot of fun and inexpensive to do. But please do not stop here with your videos. Please share with us your great knowledge. I am trying to get into.Fpv as well, and thank you.

On the leading edge. How about using a contour sander for shaping the leading edge like on giant scale planes? This would give a nice rounded uniform leading edge. I am in the process of building mine now!

thanks! yes ez has some very good solutions that work very well together. If i were to buy a new uhf system today it would be Ez UHF for instance. But for video I think I would go for the TBS receiver module in the fatsharks and something else than airwave (immersion) video transmitter.

NTM Prop Drive Series 35-42A 1250Kv would do just fine :) There are also some turnigy motors that can be used. Just look for something that gives about 400 to 600W on a 3cell and has about 1000 to 1500Kv.

Hi, yes that will be fully possible if the motor is strong enough. How many watts does the motor give with that prop size? You will need something that gives around 450 to 600 watts or more.

Great video, Thanks for sharing your plans. What distance can you get with the Fat shark FPV 5.8Ghz spiroNet Antenna set. I have just put the same FPV system on a 350QX2 quad copter. I can only get about 80m range right now. I'm thinking everything is just way to close together causing interference. Balancing the props and twisting the cables increased my distance from 40m to 80m. Flying wing may have to be the next project.
@FPVTrond

Hi, 5.8GHz works great, especially when you are flying with friends who has 2.4 radios :). I don't have link for sunex lens for GoPro 3. I did buy a sunex lens for GoPro 2 but that's another story. Are you sure you are not talking about the glass for the camera housing?

Sorry I don't have any drawings for these. I make them different each time I make a wing (I just eyeball my previous ones). Check out ProjectFlightDesign's "Fin-less Delta Wing Experiment" and you get the idea. The shape doesn't really matter that much :)

210W will be to little for the FPV49V3. Maybe if you make a extremely light FPV49v1 with only a KFm-2 step and one depron sheet for the main body. But better to go with more powerful motor I'm afraid :\

Trond, Great Flying Wing and videos. I'm going to build one. I must be missing something but I can't determine the line to draw for the TE. I would like to ask you why you didnt bout everything from ez? I have thomases and at some point i would love to have another system too.
