Great video man. Got more out of this than any others I’ve watched. I haven’t checked yet but I hope you did another video where you keep elaborating further. Moving blocks around or adding blocks. Like adding a looper to a preset. Or just creating my own preset. Most of the vids I’ve seen use a computer but I want to just use the device itself. I’ve had it about a week and it’s fantastic. I had a hx stomp and it was ok but never really sounded great. The fm3 presets are really amazing right outa the gate. I really feel like I could be happy with just this and a couple guitars.

Very good overview. I am looking at different units, my main base is for the size of unit, so this and the hx stomp are the 2 main ones. I was going to go Tonex, but do not like that one has to download so many presets, and little to no tweakability. Going thru 1000's of sound snapshots seems and most likely is: Way to TIME consuming. I know using the computer interface, instead of the FRont panel is easier and faster Workflow. But one should know how to navigate it on the Pedal for live perform, use. The Size matter is for me to do with a Grab and Go scenario. I already got a Surfboard unit, an old vox tonelab se, and it works super but a bit large for quick grab gigs, and limited Stage space. Thanks, and will most likely check out some more of your videos.

Thanks for watching! I had the HX Stomp and was underwhelmed. The cleans were very nice, but the high gain modelling paled in comparison to the Fractal, and the Fractal's timed effects are unbelievable. I also found some very slight latency when recording with the HX Stomp which I haven't seen in the Fractal. Good luck!!

Hi! Thanks for watching! I'm not sure what you're asking. I don't use a looper within the FM3 at all. When I record, I record directly into a DAW and use the functionality with that to manipulate the track.

Nice! But question: Can you set it up so you can use any of the three footswitches to page through the presets? Or even better, say I find 10 presets I love. Can I save them somewhere, and access them quickly with a footswitch?
@thehumblepundit9790
2 жыл бұрын
Thanks! Most definitely. The footswitches are set up by the Factory to do exactly what you want them to do. If you turn on the FM3, you will see the first three preset names on labels. To advance to the next three, it's either double tap or hold the right most switch. To go back to the previous three, you hit the left most switch. I can't remember atm if it's double tap or hold on the switch, LOL. And yes, you can certainly save your favorites to other presets banks to do what you suggest. Now there are different ways to do what you want. You can set up on preset with 8 scenes, all different. You can set up the channels within each scene as well. Lots of variety.

uhm, I will probably very rarely touch the thing with my fingers (there's a PC Editor), I would have expected preset navigation with my foot, as in a live situation ;)

Great video! quick question. Is there a way to jump for example to present 400 being in preset one? like just entering the number?
@thehumblepundit9790
2 жыл бұрын
Thanks! No, there isn't a way to do that within the unit, as far as I know. The only way to do that is using Axe Edit on your PC or Mac. Then you can just click to the preset you want.

@@hazylane you can play around with what the three buttons do and arrange your presets within Axe-Edit to make live settings very fluid.
