This is just like doing crazy quilting, one of my favorite techniques. You are a very good teacher and your mannerisms are easy to watch. I found you while watching another video and must have hit some button and you were there, an Easter blessing I would say. Thank you for sharing and I look forward to watching you again.

Really cool technique! Great scrap buster for the remains of those papers we love! Also great for those papers we don't really know what to do with!

Maybe just after you’ve adhered the rectangle shape on the page, lay the sheet of 12x12 piece of paper on top. Then take a ruler (clear zero-centering one would be good) and butt it alongside the outside edge of the rectangle (which you determine by running your fingertip along it) and draw a light pencil line right on the paper as a cutting line? Might work in theory only! 😆

Using a light box or window makes the cutting of pieces so much easier.

Love the technique but am curious why you wouldn’t just use the whole floral sheet as the base and apply the fracture lines and solid center piece on top.

That would work except I used the back side of the floral to get some variations around the outside. I guess I could’ve cut the paper first and then just made the lines go over the cuts? Maybe I’ll play again!!

On the blue page shouldn’t the top strip have gone all the way across?

Good catch! Then we could alternate the patterns! Thanks!!

Shouldn’t there have been a “fracture” strip along the top edge of the hexagon to the right?

There could be-I just wanted a larger area of pattern on that side. This technique could develop LOTS of different ways 😊
