I’m going to show you how I put a dust cover on the back of one of my paintings.
Tools you will need:
Screw driver
D-ring hooks and screws
Measuring tape
Hanging wire
Dust cover paper
Double sided tape
Pen or marker
Scissors
Razor blade Device like the Logan paper trimmer
When I recorded the introduction I was going to walk you through attaching the frame however I went forth and did not go over attaching the frame on this particular painting , only the dust cover.
Then I decided to record another video where I do go through the entire process of attaching a floater frame to a painting, ( my Grandson’s Sean’s painting, 6 years old😍), and I included putting a dust cover too.
His painting is 3/4 inch deep, so I used “Z” hooks for that. For My deeper gallery wrapped canvas paintings I use “L” hooks largely because of the frame structure, but even then It’s never the same across the board with framing….many variables can be different and so I do what makes sense to me.
Thank you for watching!
Live long and create
Mary
