We must share Truth - in 2008, I was a gay-identified man, in a committed, monogamous same-sex relationship, active in an affirming church, then found myself in an ICU where the medical team classified me clinically dead after a 22-minute flatline. I experienced death, judgement and hell. When I couldn’t take any more demonic torment, I cried out in repentance, “Jesus!” and I heard the Savior say, “I am here.” At that moment, I saw with my eyes the Wind of the Holy Spirit fill my ICU and with great power, He pick up Satan and the demonic and blew them out of the room. On that day, my life changed, the redemptive Blood of Jesus cleared my mind of perversion, and completely healed and restored every failing organ. Glory to God!

So the medical professionals did nothing for you..? You give all the credit to God and none to the people that actually did things for you… Funny thing is you’ll never have enough faith to test that theory. You’ll always end up going to the hospital.. trusting in humans.. and not your deity.. but never give any credit to the people that sacrificed their life to save yours..

Both are sin, but from what we gather in scripture, it comes down to the attitude and the heart (1 Samuel 16:7). This man's son is an unrepentant sinner. He has an attitude of, "my sin isn't any worse than that of that pastor." In which case, he is correct in that logic, as we have all fallen short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23)... Except, he mistakes something very crucial: If the pastor is a true man of God, then he will recognize that he is in sin, confess it to the Lord, and try to do better next time. Whereas the son in this example has no such acknowledgement, but justifies his sin because other people sin; and therefore thinks his sin is of no consequence.

I'm a Christian so this is an honest inquiry. Just wondering do you choose who you're attracted to? For example, do you choose to be attracted and desire the opposite sex and the same sex equally? Because being a heterosexual in Christianity is usually accepted as that is how I was made. I was made to desire and love the opposite sex. Now you can choose to watch corn and choose to commit adultery but do you have the choice who you desire both male and female equally? If you don't have a choice then when you hear someone say "I'm homosexual" which is a noun just as if I say "Im heterosexual" do you believe they have a choice as to who they desire? I am just trying to gauge how Christians think about this topic.
@karaokehammick5215
3 ай бұрын
@@mbfrommb3699 No you can't control who you are attracted to but you can can control what you do about it. The Bible is very clear that homosexual acts is a sin. Having homosexual attraction is not at all a sin no matter what Christians may tell you. There are Christians who have the urge to get drunk. There are Christians who have the urge to have premarital sex. All that matters is we don't act.
@AFFL1CTED1

@@karaokehammick5215 I agree with everything you said except for, "Having homosexual attraction is not at all a sin no matter what Christians may tell you." Lust (attraction) is a sin, regardless if it's heterosexual or homosexual. We are fallen, and our default mode is wicked (Jeremiah 17:9). The only time lust isn't a sin is when a husband and their wife lusts after their own spouse. Every other physical attraction is sin, regardless if you have control over it or not. Hence, why we need a savior. But, as you said, what we do with those desires, and also how we rationalize those thoughts, that truly matters.
@karaokehammick5215

@@AFFL1CTED1 Being sexually attracted to someone is never a choice and sin is always a choice. Lust is wanting to have sex with someone which is a choice. Lust literally means want. @@karaokehammick5215 Thank you for showing the stupidity of modern Christianity in your comment. My only question to you is "Have you made a lifelong commitment to be celibate?" Your view shows the blatant double standard Christians fail to address. By removing the covering of marriage given to heterosexuals the only option they leave homosexuals is lifelong celibacy and we have ample history of the damage forced celibacy can do in the Catholic church. See the lie is that Christians change the conversation from the noun "No you can't control who you are attracted to" to the verb " but you can can control what you do about it." Then they change the context to corn or adultery. This is the big lie. marriage is GOD's covering so that in marriage we have the ability to deal with our urges desires, etc with our spouse. Being a married man and choosing corn over my wife, or adultery over my wife is a sin because I have a wife. Paul in 1 Cor 7 says if you have uncontrollable urges get married. So what does this man's son say he's 20 years old do, where he can't control who he is attracted to and who he desires for the rest of his life? Where does he get intimacy, companionship, and sex from? I have to wonder if this is what 1 Timothy 4:1-5 is talking about "Now the (Holy) Spirit expressly says that in later times some will depart from the faith by devoting themselves to deceitful spirits and teachings of demons, 2 through the insincerity of liars whose consciences are seared, 3 who forbid marriage and require abstinence from foods that God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and know the truth. 4 For everything created by God is good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with thanksgiving, 5 for it is made holy by the word of God and prayer. The only group I can think of in these latter times that forbids marriage are conservative Christians. I could be wrong but that's how I read it. Thank you for your comment.

I'm always amazed at how straight people tackle this issue. I am a former lesbian who was steeped in the lifestyle until Jesus set me free. The question the son asked was simply to justify his sin. Two rights do not make a wrong. This father needs some answers. His son is stuck in a false identity. Something that rarely changes absent Christ. Homosexuality is a sin - even more, it is a severe stronghold. It can take time to unravel. But the first step is son becoming a child of God. Without Jesus, there is no hope of redemption - for anyone. I minister to parents and friends of gays, gays themselves, and I am now battling the church, which, sadly, has bought the many lies surrounding the gay lifestyle. We have alot of work to do. UPDATE: Several people here have commented on their sexual struggles longing for an answer from God and a way out. YET, when they are given that counsel and opportunity, they grow silent and leave. The truth is, they don't really want out of their sin. They just want someone to condone their behavior. This is called CHOICE. Choose God or choose sin. Can't have both.

Paul is listing the people that have not come to believe on Jesus Christ. Before we believe on Christ, these are the titles we have. However, verse 11 goes on to teach that they are no longer these people because they have been cleansed by Jesus Christ. This DOES NOT mean that they have completely stopped doing ANY of these sins. Believers all around the world struggle with most of these. Paul is pointing out that because they are believers in Christ, God does not see them as these anymore. Now, God sees them as His children. Heirs to the Kingdom of God. Why? Because they have put their belief/faith on His Son Jesus Christ. When the Father looks upon believers, He sees His sons and daughters, NOT sinners. Paul is trying to encourage the brothers and sisters in Christ to put away these desires. Not to earn, maintain, or prove their salvation, but as James points out in James 2, that it will be profitable to the believer and mankind. We should strive to be like Christ, not because it's required, but because we want to. I try to do good and sin less to give thanks for Jesus Christ for what He did for me. I'm not perfect at this. I fail everyday. But, I know I am His, forever. Remember, Paul expressed his struggle with sin in the book of Romans. His outer man keeps sinning while his inner man hates the sinning. Paul states that he would like to do good but in him is the desire to do bad. He does the bad on which he wishes he could stop doing, and neglects to do the good he wishes he could do. Then thanks Jesus Christ for the promise of one day fully redeeming Paul from the wicked man he is. John teaches that if we say we are without sin then we make Him a liar.

I want to simply point out that we will fail at the perfection described in the Bible and to encourage believers to not doubt their salvation. Lots of believers begin to worry they have sinned too much last week, or the day before and have sinned away their salvation. This is an impossible scenario. Christ paid for 100% of your sins... past, present, and future sins. His goal was to remove Hell off the table and He accomplished that by paying that payment for us. He's not going to let us, very imperfect people, screw that up afterwards. He then goes on to teach us that with that security, strive to be like Him. Not to earn, maintain, or prove your salvation, but to be profitable to yourself and others. Shining bright for Christ by sinning less and increasing your good works will draw people closer to Him. No matter how my child turns out, if they live a life that is oppositional of my personal moral beliefs, I don't have to respect that. But everyone does not have the same moral beliefs, and our beliefs do not make us moral. Not before or after Christ. Christ was the only one moral. Nobody on this planet looks at morality the same, because we have none and we have never been, and have never known it. We only have self-righteousness (pride) and my pride has sinned against God every time. What is right to us, is not right to God, no matter how just we may think we are being. And even if we do good, the sin the condemned us would be there every step of the way, without Christ. You think the way you think because of sin, you do not know or understand total morality, and you are no more moral than your child. You have probably taught your child more sin, than anything, and are completely unaware of it. If you cast the first stone, God will cast the last one. Salvation is a very serious thing.

@@kinggenius930 Like I said, it's a free choice. No baby was ever born sexually attracted to their own gender, that's just an absolutely ludicrous conclusion to rest at, and a lazy justification for that type of preference, which God insists is a sin. Psychology data insists that homosexuality typically stems from a deep-rooted form of trauma or abuse, or being raised in such a household or community that simply endorse and affirm such behavior. That's a big mistake so many homosexually-oriented people make, is thinking they were born gay and hence identify as gay, and since God hates homosexuality, that must mean God hates them as people. Which is absolutely false. God hates sin, via the act of homosexual fornication, He does not hate people, He never did, and never will. God loves every person. And yet every person in the world is guilty of sinning. Everyone. Only God's gift of Grace (trusting that Jesus is exactly who He claimed to be) alleviates us from his wrath. The devil wants people to believe we have no choice, and being gay is part of our identity. Which is a flat-out lie, that unfortunately drags so many people farther away from God's desire for them to live their best life. The 10 commandments are not rules that we need to follow in order to appease an almighty overlord. He doesn't need our thanksgiving or worship of Him, or for us to do anything really. Rather the ten commandments strictly serve as a guidebook to all people that will only benefit us in living truly joyful lives. Since every material and worldly thing will never truly comfort us, or sate us, in our fleeting, dying, mortal coils. No matter how many times we have sex, whether hetero, or same-sex, will ease our souls or save us on our deathbed. Sin is risking harm for fleeting moments of pleasure like you don't have forever to enjoy yourself now before you go without and suffer anguish for loosing all the things you love. Ask the doctors. They'll tell you that anal sex can cause sever infections for both gay and straight couples no matter how healthy they are. If you get excrement in your urethra, you can get a urinary tract infection or even a bladder infection that might kill you if untreated. This has nothing to do with patriarchy or tradition. It has to do with sanitation. And it is true for both gay and straight couples. Swimming in a lake is fine. But if it were contaminated with bacteria, would the state allow you to swim in that lake, even if you knew the risks and wanted to swim there anyway? I don't think so. They would haul you away to have your head examined. Anal sex is obviously unsanitary. And putting your mouth on someone else's defecating parts is also obviously unsanitary for any couples, gay or straight.

Sometimes Frank gives terrible answers, and this is one of those times. Let us not be fooled! We do not want to be one of those who will be turned away on that day when men stand before God. The way is narrow, and the road is straight, and FEW be that find it. Matt 7:21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Verse 22 MANY will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? Verse 23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. Matt 7:14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and FEW there be that find it. Our sin has set us all on the road to hell and no amount of good will fix the sin we have done. We have ALL sinned. It is not about the type of sin or how much sin. It is about the fact that we have sinned. For that reason we all need a Savior. If we want forgiveness for our sin and peace with God. If we want to escape eternal hell. If we want to go to heaven we must understand the following. We DO NOT get saved (go to heaven), get right with God, forgiven, by being good, by being religious, by just believing in God, by praying a prayer, being baptized, asking or accepting Jesus into our hearts, accepting Jesus as our personal Saviour, confessing our sins, joining a church, cleaning up our lives, doing penance, taking the bread and the wine, or doing all these things accumulative. Salvation is a gift that is given to those who repent and come to faith. Eph. 2:8,9 Salvation takes repentance toward God and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, Acts 20:21. testifying both to the Jews, and also to the Greeks, repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ. Make no mistake. We cannot be a friend of Christ and remain a rebel against God and unless we repent we remain a rebel. The word repent, from the Greek word “metanoia”, means a change of mind or direction. God is not receiving those who almost or kind of repents. It is like the word About-face which is a 180 degree turn. We turn from not wanting God fully in our lives to willfully surrendering to Him to lead our lives. When any person comes to the place where they are broken over their sin toward God to the point that they want to get right with God no matter what it will cost them they are in a state/spirit of repentance toward God. Luke 14:33 So likewise, whosoever he be of you that forsaketh not all that he hath, he cannot be my disciple. The repentant heart would walk away from anything or any one to get right with God. We then take that willing repentant heart we have towards God and place it on the Lord Jesus Christ as Lord and Master, because He paid the price for our sin, and that becomes faith. At that moment God’s grace through Christ is freely applied to us and we are born again, saved from eternal hell and sealed by the Spirit so that we will never again return to the practice of sinning. 1John 3:9,10. Our first command after salvation is to be baptized. Repentance of sin is the result of the new birth/salvation and will be part of the sanctification process and our new life with the Lord Jesus Christ, Eph 2:10. While we may sin from time to time after salvation it will never again be our practice 2Cor. 5:17, 1John 3:9,10. John 14:21 He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him. REV. 22:17 And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely. It all boils down to are we sorry/broken enough over our sins against God and do we want to get our hearts right with Him or not. Let us be sure that tomorrow does not belong to us.

Many people buy into the lie that they are born that way, the lie that the Lord's saving love is unconditional, and the lie that once we have truly received a new nature with Christ that our disposition towards our sins and the sins of others won't radically change. No pick up your cross every day and follow me to Calvary so they can die, and you can be resurrected with Me but without them. More like, skip the cross and go straight to the resurrection because we want the joy without the journey through the pain of the cross. We also buy the lie that all judgement is bad and we shouldn't do it or accept it, and for many that includes rejecting the judgements against their sins from the Lord's word or from others in the church (even though such judgement is required from us in places like 1 Corinthians 5 and Matthew 18). So, we prefer the sweet sounding lies instead of the real truth and in doing so we follow a gentle (by the world's definition, not God's which is strength under control) and generic Jesus of our own making. Sad 😢

Homosexuality is something one must resist on his own through prayer and accepting what God had made him or her to be, we always assume that homosexual behavior is an innate nature, no children, Sin came to this world and corrupted our human nature that's why homosexuality exists, evil exists and all the problems of this world exists. How we confront these issues within ourselves can make the difference; either we chose to sin or chose God. I know a gay person in my country that decided to marry a woman after accepting who he really is and what God made him to be, he had children and was happy, all glory to God for He knows us more than we know ourselves: homosexuality is a sin and through God's wisdom he provides a way out of sin for everyone.

I actually feel for his son. As someone who has this exact thing and fell in love with my bestfriend It was something i knew I could never have. What the son is actually asking was missed, he’s asking basically is he not worthy to have love”? In the way that when someone genuinely falls in love with someone, they can marry them. He’s not asking for his sin to be justified, before Christ we are, he’s asking if a pastor who struggles with porn is still a pastor, can he not still be a Christian even though he’s in love with someone of the same gender? I had this exact problem and I’ve cried multiple times out of heartbreak over it, it’s like telling a husband the wife you would want to marry, you cannot have, and the strong feelings of love you have for her are not justified. Just a food for thought before ppl judge this kid. I’ve tried to love women but it’s not any harder than a heterosexual woman trying to fall in love with another woman or a white woman trying to be born with black skin and blonde hair. Anyone who hasn’t lived with this problem for 27 years of their life, I would say I envy you, it’s not something I would wish on my worst enemy, to always have it looked like I have it figured out, to promise pastors and friends I will marry a beautiful Christian woman when my heart is in love with someone else, to have the whole image of a full Christian put together, but I’ve never been good at faking it, I can’t have what my heart craves and it tears me to shreds, I have friends who complain to me about their girl issues that they can’t decide which girl to pick to marry while I kindly just laugh it off and empathise with them whilst I have completely no idea what it feels like to be even remotely attracted to a girl yet alone in love since they don’t know. It eats me from the inside out and I get teary eyed when leaving my friends to go back to a home all alone. But I have to press on, I have to be the good Christian everyone expects me to be, these feelings have to be kept hidden, otherwise if I play the white picket fence false Christian life I’ll be tricking my potential wife and someone’s daughter into loving someone they think is in love with them when really I would be pretending to be and using them to cover up the fact that I don’t want my church to know I have these feelings I was born with. And no, it doesn’t suddenly dissapear because I was born again, I’ve heard that statement one too many times now. I want the real Christianity, the honest truth, the rawness, and the raw truth is that, I am someone who has fallen in love with my friend and I need either grace or judgement. If there is no law against the love that I have but against the sex that I have then I’ll take the love over sex any day. But if I also can’t love freely then I’m damned to not be worthy enough like most of these guys who have a loving relationship that isn’t founded on sex but love alone…. It’s a conundrum at times but hey, Christianity isn’t without suffering right

Most of human love is disordered, doing what is either unlawful or profane. And so I say those who’s love is disordered the truth is our desire for closeness with another human, man or woman, is actually a desire for closeness with God. It’s human, possibly even diabolic, to believe that closeness with God is not what you truly desire. Is it that your love cannot be returned? Then be with The Heart that has so loved man and received nothing in return. Has He not loved you? Through beatings, profanities and death he has loved you!

Hey man, I feel you. I was once in your shoes also, so I can empathize with the struggle. I was raised in a Christian home so I couldn't tell anyone of my inclinations, plus we are Nigerian and I've seen what they do such people here. I tried everything to stop but failed miserably. I tried using will power, threats, self-torture and a whole lot of other things. I had a whole host of issues aside this so it wasn't fun at all. The truth is, the more I tried, the more I failed. But, I remember hearing a sermon where the pastor pretty much talked about porn (which I also struggled with), and other addictions and how to break free from them. I thought he was crazy when he said to stop trying and rely solely on God's grace. He said that the more you rely on your self effort and will power, the more you'll fail. Instead trust on God's grace to make you whole inside out. We can put on a facade on our outside, but it won't change who we are - or rather who we perceive ourselves to be. Best to trust our Lord Jesus, who loved us to death to change us from the inside out. I put this to the test and strangely enough it worked. All I did was confess that "I am the righteousness of God in Christ" whenever I had those desires, and even while watching porn and to my surprise, over time those desires faded away. It felt impossible, like magic, but it happened. Rather than pretending not to be attracted to the same sex, I genuinely have no interest anymore. I dream about having a wife, kids, and building a loving family. Even when the thoughts come again, I proclaim who I am in Christ. I am not a closet homosexual. I am who God made me to be. The world tells us to accept these lying thoughts and declare them as our identity. Grace tells us to proclaim our identity in Christ. I can't imagine what its like to live your life, but trust me when I say that Christ's finished work is all you need. Self effort can only take you so far. Grace will take you all the way.

@@lordkinjarel thank you very much for that. Single handed probably the reply I’ve been looking for. I myself am your neighbour in the sense that I’m British Ghanaian. I believe it’s easy for someone who doesn’t have the issue to say just give up your inordinate affection, but it’s not as easy as that. Also have you ever been in love with another male before? What do I do if I’m in love, like a husband is in love with his wife? What do I do? I won’t have sex no, but my love is it valid? Does it count for anything even though the feelings are genuine? Why do only straight people get to have the happy ending with the love of their life? Would it also be fair to tell them if they care so much why don’t they give up their love of their life too if they wish to show me it’s that easy. Truth hurts and it’s never that easy, I’m thankful that someone who knows this exact pain is here tbh

Ty for sharing. I too saw the overlooked point of the young man asking his dad those questions. As to your struggle, I share it from a heterosexual perspective. Meaning I used to live a very promiscuous life and now that I’m married I still struggle regularly with aldulterous desires. I’ve wondered why those desires aren’t “cured “ in Christ. The truth is that I’m this life we will suffer through temptations among other things. As a Christian we must rely on Gods grace to give us the power to resist those temptations. This is the refining fire that God used to cleanse and strengthen us. So fight on! Where people get the gospel wrong is that they think they need to do the good things that pleases God. That’s performance Christianity and misunderstands the gospel. When you truly apprehend the gospel it will be the thing that produces good works in you. Share your sin with your brothers and sisters even if they don’t handle it right. The Bible tells us to do this. It will help set you free.

Which person is better?" and before you answer this question you need to answer another one first "by what standart do you decide what's right and wrong". If you don't base your moral standarts on God's word, then there's nothing wrong with being gay, porn addict etc. because then you're morals are based on people's opinion, which means that moral is relative. But if God's real and he is the one who defines what's good and right, then both a homosexual and a the person who watches porn are sinners. To me this is pretty subjective. I am not of the persuasion that homosexuality is an automatic death sentence as far as morals . I think it’s the lifestyle that is likely when dealing in homosexuality many times it’s a hedonistic, often times more mental instability. Let’s also not forget the fact that there is no natural reproduction within a homosexual relationship so there is no natural flourishing or growth. Even with all that said I do believe there are a few homosexual relationships which are well adjusted and not idol seeking which is not harmful.. I just feel like those relationships are the oddity not the norm. As an antidote all the homosexuals I know were either sexually abused as children or are suffering from some other serious idol worship spiritual warfare, so usually the sexual preference is a byproduct of something else.

What they got to half way through is really important. The 10 commandments help make really clear EXACTLY how we're guilty before God. They were given not only to light the way to live in God's kingdom, but first to shine a light on our sin. Revelation declares that all liars will be cast into the lake of fire. Every sinner has lied without exception. So everyone's condemned just on that count. James says that if we e broken one of the commands we're guilty of breaking the WHOLE law..the pieces of the law are not disjointed separate elements. The all are written aspects of the same one whole thing: God's holy nature. We personally violate and rebel against Him when in His Holiness whenever we sin. Helping people understand THAT, regardless of their particular sinful proclivities or religious or cultural background, is a primary pre-evangelistic objective because it makes the gospel make sense.

What is sin? Missing God's target for us? The thing that keeps us from joyfully serving God? ANYTHING that comes between us and God's expressed Will is sin to me. In my reading of Scripture, there are many more references to divorce, abandonment, and other sexual behavior that saddens God because He knows how harmful our behavior is to us. While I personally do not like having someone's sexual behavior forced upon me as normal or OK, or national holidays established to elevate that behavior, I cannot tell a gay person that they are any more sinful than I have been. However, I am at peace because of Jesus' irrevocable promise and sacrifice to wipe away those sins as if they never happened.

Dear Lord Jesus I pray your gospel reaches all people. We are ALL from works. Works cannot atone for sin. Sin and a holy God are oil and water. Abel sacrificed from his flock to atone for his sin. Cain relied on what he produced. A broken law demands blood to atone. Sacrifice vs man’s idea of what is required to please our father. Jesus is that once for all sacrifice for Sin. He obeyed his father, he made sure not one of Gods chosen was lost ie the disciples. As Gods son he became like his brothers not of Adam’s seed. He was tempted by sin because he was half Mary’s flesh, this time he overcame. He prayed to his father for strength. As high priest only he can stand before the almighty god and intercede for us in truth. The narrow gate the tree of life became glorified here on earth and in heaven. The only choice we have is to choose sacrifice Jesus his free gift of Life. Not because we don’t deserve our wages of death but because he loves us. This is what the thief on the cross admitted to. I deserve my punishment but here is an innocent man. Go to Roman’s Paul lists all Sins. If you tick one your sentence is just. Most tick a lot more. Christ died for the many you admit to. Give all your sins to God. He purified SIN. Then you go from wrath anger into discipline. God will renew your mind. All he asks is you uphold his laws, love him and love your neighbor as yourself. In this no law exists. Sin cannot be accounted for without the law. You are given righteousness through faith. Your credit is heavenly.

Frank has a scriptural dilemma. In the Bible calls out a present progressive verb (an action in a continuous sense). Such as homosexuals, drunkards, it says, shall not inherit the kingdom of God. This is regardless if you have declared Jesus, is your savior or not. This is the problem with following A wind of doctrine. They choose doctrines From different theological backgrounds, and say we are doing proper exegesis. The problem with that mindset is so does the next doctrine income to a completely different interpretation or understanding of scripture. The question is, why are there so many winds of doctrine today compared to the first century apostolic days. The answer is simple, just as the Jews were blind so are people that are man-made Christians. God is only giving revelation and truth, by the Holy Ghost. As Jesus said, you have never seen him or known him. This is why the church is a counterfeit today. God church has always been, a small flock that the “ counterfeit church” Suppresses and is blind too. God has hide this from the wise and prudent revealed it to babes in Christ. Just like Paul, the apostle God has to strip you of all that intellectualism, as it does not lead to the simplicity that is in Christ. The Lord takes the wise in their own craftiness.

why isn't the approach we ought to use with every other sinner applicable here? by that I mean, as Christians, it is not our job to be the sin police for non-believers - you should do this and this and this, and not do that and that and that....I don't think that is our job. Rather, the job is to share the gospel and try to get them to God. If someone truly accepts Jesus and His work on the cross, they will be indwelt by the HG and begin their walk in Christ. It almost seems like we're singling out homosexuals and telling them, for your, you have to do some works first, and then come to Christ. It's faith alone thru grace alone. Right now. Not, after you stop sinning. If everybody had to stop sinning before they got saved, our Lord would be very lonely indeed. Being in genuine relationship with Jesus puts the emphasis on where it should be, their souls, not their flesh. Get them to God, and then let God work in them for sanctification, just like all the rest of us sinners. The Jews had to clean themselves before they met the king, for us, the invitation is to come as we are. If we genuinely put our faith in Him, he'll do the cleaning.....

There is zero authority from any religion anywhere on anything, especially on sexual preferences, morality or the purpose of life. ZERO authority. If anyone’s purpose is to get to heaven, hurry up and go there already. The rest of us will take it from here. Best wishes.

Its funny how we human beings want to justify our sins or compare it to other sins and somehow make our sin less sinful, justifiable or acceptable. Its like when I hear people say, Im not Christian because Christians are hypocrites. While Christians should be examples of their walk with Christ and not be stumbling blocks to non believers (Christians do fall short, and im not talking habitual sin here) we fall short because we are not perfect and we still are in the process of sanctification, but non believers shouldnt use it as an excuse for their unbelief. Our example is Jesus!

This is a tough subject as it so many times devolves into relativism. I am ok because something else is bad or worst. This is a false argument as scripture is the idea of a one sided coin. Sin is sin regardless of its priority in your mind. I left the video with the idea that on judgement day there will be an adjudication of my sins where i will be offered a chance to defend myself. I have no defense, no witnesses except one and its judgement day, not a court date. My only witness is Jesus. He defends me as one of His or He doesn’t. I will stand alone, save Him. I will not have witnesses that vouch for my “good” life. We have intellectualized scripture as if it’s a group consensus of what good means by way of relativism. Does it matter “why” someone is unsaved?

The devil attacks Biblical definition of marriage because it’s a picture of Christ and His true bride the Church bought by His blood

Pastors / priests and the like are just regular people, I think the title makes some people put them on a pedestal and that’s a huge mistake because when they fall you can think I was duped by this guy for years acting something that he wasn’t . We need to listen to the Good Word then open the Bible and follower Jesus and understand that we don’t have to understand everything and humble ourselves daily to Him asking Him to help us focus on Him. God bless

Also Frank is wrong every time. Right and wrong are absolutes. Murder is wrong. God tells you it is wrong and gave you the choice to do it or not. It isn't wrong because he said it is wrong. It is wrong because it is wrong. It is an absolute.

I do not think the Church has elevated homosexuality - I think that is the red herring, or perhaps a straw man. Proportion, not hypocrisy, is the cause of the disparity. The overlooked cause is that our society is at fault for thrusting the topic upon us with increasing regularity. Therefore it only appears like we are fixated on this one issue..

We wrestle not with flesh and blood and that is the key to this situation. Sin is merely the spirit of LUST in some form overtaking the truth with twisting, as the enemy of our soul takes our ground away from us and then weakens us and divides us in the flesh realm. The spirit gives the mortal body life .Humans are spirits in bodies and have the power of agreement . What we agree with creates our outcome. Now eternity is the only reason we bother to try to steer our fellow man toward love because we don't want anyone tricked to eternal hell with a fallen angel who hates us and the angels that fell with him. . This enemy has torments planned in hell no one can imagine because he has no love in him. Our enemy is crafty and puts thoughts in heads and divides us and then when he tricks us to let him in , he sickens us and steals our ability to love each other. Taking all thoughts captive and resisting evil , and agreeing with love . The enemies only power is using our power of agreement which is only given to those with a birth certificate. Hate sin , love God , love neighbor as you love yourself.

I think if a person, sincerely askes Jesus to come into their life and they genuinely read the Scriptures, they will inevitably see their owns sins in an order that God sees fit for them and where they spiritually. God will deal with them through his grace. Too many try to preach our own convictions or ” the sin of the day” on everyone else..

She’s a little off. All sin disqualifies you from the glory of God but some sins are worse than others. Study your Christian ethics.

I just have to read Romans 1 - do you believe God or man. If you are a true Christian you obey God and know homosexuality is wrong.
