Frank was the boss of the wah-wah----3:12-4:25 and 5:10-5:50 just amazing playing . Ralph Humphrey's accents and fills are dynamite throughout.

There's an interview floating around in which Tom Fowler says that this was one of the toughest shows It was freezing outside and there were no visual lines to see anyone's feet for tempo so everyone had to make eye contact with each other in order to avid getting lost.

Frank's such a genius that he took a couple of courses in music at a community college and then went on to write symphonies. He could write tablature for every instrument. Amazing.

Ah...the apeshit 'Montana' swedish solo. What I particularly like about FZ is how he finds the perfect note to start one of his amazing solo flights. He frequently made history by this method. The Florentine Pogen solo on KCET is another favourite of mine.

I'm purely conventional; Rogers & Hammerstein, Frank Capra, Bing Crosby, etc. But there's something about this song; fell in love with it in college in the 1970's; I like it the way I like the taste of blackstrap mollasses; it doesn't move me like Beethoven's Ode to Joy does, but it does let me get freed up now & then from my straitlaced preferences
