@@folfielukather8083 that was an animation made for those who worked on WB cartoons, the porky pig one was never made public until recent years as it was meant as an in-house thing. the suicide jokes I am not sure about though, they may well have been censored as a lot of stuff was when they were all broadcast on TV. Agreed. This is the best version. Brendel's timing and phrasing match the complex theme. The talent it takes to play this piece doesn't necessarily mean you have the proper understanding to express the sentiment of the song, but Brendel has nailed it. (I like the high end on this piano. It retains its quality and doesn't blend into one long screech. I wonder what brand it is.)

Uh huh... their opinion is that this isn’t a “thumbs up” composition... I will go out on a limb and pass judgement on their extremely poor taste then.

...and Liszt took inspiration here from local Gypsy musicians. Those Gypsies originating from India that are still so much despised by so many people all over central Europe. Those Gypsies that the Nazis were trying to annihilate. Yet, their interpretation of local tunes and Liszt musical genius putting it into notes for piano tell us something very direct, deep and universal about the human soul.

My grandfather's brother was a violinist in a symphony orchestral. Sometimes he would come over our house with my grandfather and they would pass the violin back and forth and play. When my uncle played it, it was a violin. When my grandfather played it, it was a fiddle. I had the privilege of going to the orchestra's rehearsals in the summer. Often I was the only child in the audience. My great aunt and I would sit there in the front row and watch and listen. This was one of the pieces the orchestra played. It was fun to hear the orchestra play this then the conductor would interrupt and scold one or another musician for messing something up and sometimes he would turn to me and say "am aye drite yunk mun?" in a thick European accent. All I could do is giggle and nod. Then he would instruct the orchestra and they would continue playing. So while most kids were introduced to classical music by the likes of Mr. Tom and Mr. Jerry, I was introduced to classical music by the people actually making the music. And with apologies to the orchestra, I kind of like the piano solo version best.

I was born in 1994 and I love music from the entire 20th century from the 1900s to the 1990s. When it comes to music, I live by the saying, Variety is the spice of life. I don't have anything against today's music. I mean, I like Bruno Mars and Imagine Dragons. However, I will be honest about one thing. While I like hip hop and rap as much as the next person, I despise music that involves twerking or anything related to such dancing, such as this song for instance. kzitem.info/news/bejne/jn9jv41rqWKmpG0

The popularity of classical music has increased magnificently the last couple of years actually. Sales and streames went up 10% and it was the fastest growing genre in 2018. Much thanks to Twosetviolin, they went viral 2018 and their purpose is to spread awareness of the beauty of classical music and inspire people to listen to it more and even start playing music. So it's farm from dead and rotten. Yeah sure, mainstream media and entertainnment still live by the old fashioned prejudice that it's boring and that only old and greasy men listen to it. But they are so damn wrong. It's blossoming and thriving!
