Those flying buckets were a clever design, I met fred at the pennine hotel derby after dinner speech about 1994 I had a chat with him strongest handshake I ever had , we had a chat about chimney felling and he signed me an autograph which was done with such care in copperplate script . you don't get these working characters like fred anymore .A funny joke he told was when Donald approached by a manager of the factory how many chimneys go wrong when felling them he says 1in four and they had just done 3 good ones !

When he shook the flagpole to see if it was upright, I was wtf, if it wasn't he'd have gone with it. However looking back over it I saw how solid his stance was. Highly skilled, balls yes, but skill too. Balls don't keep you alive. The way in other videos he bends his leg around the back of the ladder... so he looks like his arms are flaying but his legs are anchored. This isn't a thoughtless tricks, these where skills past down to............... :( Maybe the last real one.

There are still a few of us left in this country who were born in the 3/4of the 20thC who believe that Britain would be a far better place with the reinstatement of some of the lost Victorian decorum,civility and values.Not to mention a heavy hand when it comes to crime and punishment.Prisons with hard labour and subhuman living conditions would ensure that re-offending would be something of the past.Cant ever seeing it happen,things will just get even more slovenly and pathetic.Sickening
@gcfcos

Some of the crime in Victorian times was a lot worse than it is now. Also the living conditions a lot of people endured especially in the north was dispicable. Also wondering if your child would make it past 1 year old with a slim chance would have been horrific. Although I agree that good old fashioned values and discipline are long gone and that is the downfall of our entire society. Gone are the days of being able to shout or clip naughty terraways behind the ear. No one is scared of falling foul of the law anymore as the sentences are so soft and prisoners enjoy cushy lifestyles inside.

This should have conveyed to you that if I had the resources and money that I would indeed leave.If I had the money and resources I'd be gone tomorrow.There's nothing holding me here,nothing I can't walk away and leave behind . Who knows,in the next 10 years my situation could drastically change. If it happened I'd be off to a medium sized log cabin in the middle of nowhere in Colorado . Suits me fine .

I thought Fred was a working class hero? working class heroes don't celebrate royal weddings. He must've been the only person in Bolton that bothered about their like; if he knew what the so called British monarchy were really about he would've pulled that flag down. The only royal I ever liked was Princess Diana, and we know what happened to her, the Windsor's heir and spare as they called her.
