While discussing the inspiration behind his latest solo album 'Silent, Listening', the New York jazz veteran imparted some of the more personal meanings behind the titles of his compositions - in particular the track 'Akrasia', which comes from the Ancient Greek meaning to act against one’s better interests. In Fred's words, the title "is an allusion to life in lockdown when I found myself spending too much time indulging in detective novels and computer games. You know you shouldn’t be doing it, but…"
