Freddie is a very talented singer! The voice like no other! He can sing anything. I miss and regret losing someone like him who is excellent at everything because of his love for music. A true gem!❤👑👑👑👑❤#LOVEFREDDIEFOREVER #LOVEQUEEN

I love this song written by Brian. While Freddie was alive, Brian said that he and a couple of others wrote this song about a friend who was going through a difficult divorce. Members of the band were very careful to keep each other's private lives private but after Freddie passed away, Brian admitted that he actually had written this for/about Freddie who was going through a devastating break up. Good to see you hitting Queen again, Harri, Thank you. I don't think this is an official video of this song but even if it is, there are some much better live versions of it where the audio and video are much better. When this song is performed live, it starts out with Brian on the piano with his Red Special resting comfortably at the ready in his lap and when it is time for him to get up and play it, Freddie takes over on the keys. It is a seamless switch and you can hear the difference in tone between the two of them at the piano which really adds texture to the song.

Sadly I lived every word of this song, after 20 years without her I still tear up everytime it is played. Definitely one of the most heartfelt Queen songs. Thanks Brian

Harri, You should see Freddie sing this LIVE (Freddie performing live is always the BEST). His performances at both: Montreal in 1981 and: Milton Keynes Bowl in 1982 …are BEAUTIFUL.

Actually Brian May recently admitted he wrote this gorgeous song about Freddie Mercury’s relationship ending with a chef. Freddie was brave to sing it so passionately knowing this was Brian’s way of commiserating. Queen is ❤.

When Queen hit the radio, I was a teen. I grew up with them, navigating the ups and pitfalls of life. The four of them addressed a range of experiences that, at some point, most of us can adhere to.

Beautiful song penned by Sir Brian May!! Brian would admit much later that the song was inspired by Freddie’s break-up with boyfriend Joe Fanelli, an American Chef. Freddie was devastated when the relationship ended, although later, Joe was hired as his personal chef at Garden Lodge!! 👨🏻🍳🥂🍾

This is a beautiful song and the line 'I'm naked and I'm far from home' is the ultimate expression of VULNERABILITY, something always understood by Queen as who they reveal to us, and why we love them.

Brian wrote it for Freddie after a relationship Freddie was in ended. He thought it reflected Freddie’s feelings. Brian was and is a very sensitive soul, and seemed to read Freddie better than anyone. I absolutely love this song, love it live…in Montreal. TY for the reaction, missing Queen reactions these days. Not enough … so little wonder left.
