Derek Quinn(1942-2020), 80, lead guitarist of Freddie & The Dreamers.. (the one with the dark shades) joined his bandmates, drummer Bernie Dwyer(1941-2002) and lead vocalist Freddie Garrity(1936-2006) (who looked like Buddy Holly) on stage in the Spirit World, following his battle with Covid-19. Freddie & The Dreamers were widely known for their hits, including "You Were Made For Me", "I'm Telling You Now", and the band's signature dance routine, "Do The Freddie". R.I.P. Derek 🕯🌈

55 years aqo! The Beatles were killing it but a lot of British bands were also coming to the fore. No one really knew what made the Beatles or any of the other different. Bands like Freddie and the Dreamers would try to create a niche.....zany, loveable, no threat. They actually had some big hits!
