Is there a more generic '80s rap formula than "my name is (blank) and I'm here to say, I (blank blank blank) in a major way"?
@ladycheyne5607

M Kefer It's not "generic". It's a hip hop/rap classic phrase. It's like the "Amen Break" of rap lyrics.

Vincent Price also had a monologue in Iron Maiden's "Number of the Beast". "Woe to you, oh Earth and Sea, for the Devil sends the Beast with wrath, because He knows the time is Short. Let him who hath understanding reckon the Number of the Beast, for it is a human number. It's number is six hundred and sixty six."

Heard that in a bootleg (?) of D-Jahsta's (and others') Baptism of Fire... I'd have to do some digging to find the redux though.

Awesome video! Two cool vids there, the dokken video was awesome back in the day, with a killer solo and George Lynch getting pulled thorough the wall by Freddy. Don't forget about the band helloween, they put out a video 1988 or so on MTV that showed the Druid ceremony AND MOST people didn't know what they were watching.

Gotta love Thriller. I love Freddy & NOES Series, so although some merch was odd, lol. I heard there was a video to Nightmare On My Street, but it was pulled after it's first showing. Copyright stuff. You forgot also about Alice, F13 Jason Lives. Man Behind The Mask. You have Pet Sematary by The Ramones, ACDC with Maximum Overdrive soundtrack, Doken with Dream Warriors and Into The Fire, The List of NOES 4 music. Could go on on stuff.

Bit late to the party on this video, but for horror/music crossovers, might I put forward the Claudio Sanchez (of Coheed and Cambria fame) side-project, The Prize Fighter Inferno's track, Elm Street Lover Boy, from their recent EP, Half Measures? Kinda like a happy synth-pop track, but it's cool as hell.

Iron Maiden's "Bring Your Daughter... To The Slaughter" and Nightmare 5... Even though the song is clearly ambiguous about what it wants to say... It could just be a rape anthem with those lyrics.
