I think part of why we like you driving through the little towns is you get excited . we can tell that you are really enjoying yourself Carolyn. That makes it more enjoyable for us. We're seeing places we have never dreamed of . most of us live in cities anymore seems like. So showing us where your driving in these little towns is exciting. Some of us forget there are still places out there where people still live . I like small town life . I also like for there to be a good size town around an hour HR and half away to do shopping. Thanks for sharing these places with us

Those towns definitely have an old cape cod feel very different than say Concord California as then it would be boring 🤣. Perhaps it’s the multitude of fully grown trees that makes the difference. I’m noticing here in Kansas/Missouri and especially in Arkansas that there’s more real forests where the trees grow close together/thicker. In the coastal redwoods the trees are spaced further apart perhaps because of the wide girths. Your videos have me wanting to go to the Great Lakes just because I want to experience another part of the US. Keep on filming, though I realize these were shot weeks ago. I plan to get back on the road in December heading southwest. Can’t wait as it’s getting cold here.
@elizabethapfelbaum1240
2 жыл бұрын
The Redwoods in CA are so high, the girth so wide the sun is unable to get through and barely hits the ground. Don’t forget the fog! And what is so amazing about East coast forests and the thickness, stand and just look, there is no room for a footfall! I’m told the variou herds made trails, Indians followed the herds, trappers followed the Indian, herd trails and the rest of us followed them, at least initially.
@makalapuamegs1056

@@elizabethapfelbaum1240 thank you for this informative message. You must be a botanist or history teacher as it’s perfect. I had forgotten about the fog but also realized very little grows under redwoods due to the acidity of the needles.

You may want to have your tires Slimed, Carolyn. It's a liquid product that seals small and medium-sized leaks as you drive. They carry it at Wal-Mart. You (or a shop) just jack up your rig, which may be quite a task given the weight of it, and remove the valve stem core of your tire with a core remover tool that's sold near the Slime and Fix-a-flat. You squeeze the correct amount of Slime into the tire, replace the valve core and then air it up. The Slime coats the inside of the tire and plugs leaks if something happens to penetrate the tire. I've used it for 15 years and it really works and will also seal any leaks where the tire meets the wheel rim. (You also might want to keep a couple large cans of fix-a-flat on hand if you don't want to do the Slime, just to get you back to civilization if you have another flat out in the boonies.) Good luck.
