Cynthia, I honestly can't thank you enough for how much fun I'm having learning the Ukulele from your teaching. The way you encourage us along every process of the tutorial gives me confidence to continue, and continue is what I'm going to do right now. Good for the mind and good for the Soul.

Hi Cynthia! I love this song and the tutorial! Thank you so much for helping me lean the Uk! I do have a question tho! I've done this tutorial over and over and have the song down, but for some reason when i do the play though with you it sounds different. Almost like you are adding maybe an up strum or extra hit on Bb during the chucking strum? Or maybe my timing is off? I can't figure it out!

Question: I’m a beginner at the ukulele and I’m pretty good at playing the songs I learn but that’s not my problem. My problem is I can’t sing and play at the same time. So my question is what’s the best way to “sing while playing”? Because for me this is my biggest struggle, it’s like patting your head and rubbing your stomach at the same time haha. I tried humming, just singing, singing while playing and I see that I’m having trouble doing it. Any advice? Thanks!

I don't know if it can help but keep practicing, don't rush. I think every beginner has the same struggles as your, but practicing always the solution, singing and playing simultaneously is a new skill so the brain needs time to get used to it. So be patient, start from slow pace (as how cynthia do in the video), that's how it works for me.

Vân Nguyễn Thanks for the advice/help. I really appreciate it. 😊 I will try playing slowly and singing slowly at the same time. Maybe that will be better for me.

Also, watch her transitioning between chords video. I went thru her videos lesson by lesson & skipped one because I wasn’t crazy about the song. I had to go back & watch it anyway because it had important info in it. The songs all teach important little lessons for us beginners. You’ll find what you learn in one video will show up again in a later video. Good luck & asCynthia says, keep strumming!
