Harvest host recently joined in with boon dockers welcome and the boon dockers welcome side of the company does farms. I have not stayed at one just yet but really want to try it out. For the boon dockers welcome farm stays, you do not have to worry about the work to stay but it is typically only 1 night stays. With that bein said, it would be nice to have a website here that would make options like yours easy to find.

We've been HH members for a couple of years. We have stayed at a winery who offers AC hookups for a fee. Others have offered free water. You do have to pay attention to the host rules for arrival. Some farms want you to arrive before sunset other hosts want you there a couple of hours before closing. This has made it harder for us to take advantage of the system while driving long distance in a day. We wind up mostly staying at a Cracker Barrel on those trips. Just in the past few weeks, my wife and I have taken advantage of our HH membership by taking local weekend trips. We'd spend a night at a brewery on Saturday night and head back home on Sunday. Aside from the membership cost, I had to pay for gas, tolls, food, and drinks. We're heading to a farm this weekend. Maybe it'll cost us a bit less. 🙂 Your right and this being a good way to save money and avoid weekend campground fees! Thanks for posting the video.

All good points in your comment. So far we have not had any complaints for additional requests when reserving a HH spot. We have stayed at our share of winerys and recently started at breweries. I would love to see distilleries make the list as well. As for Cracker barrels, I love them, we stop in and have dinner and then breakfast the next morning. Highly recommend them, I would have to say for cracker barrels though, make sure that you call ahead of coming in to make sure that there is an opening, lot space and that they are ok with the type of RV you have.
