My wonderful and large sewing machine is away for cleaning and servicing. As I cannot stay away from quilting for too long I decided to get out my very small machine and give it a go. I learned quilting on a similar sewing machine but in the last years I got used to the space offered by my Janomes. It is a significant difference. My every day machine has a throat of 10 inches, where this one only 4 inches large. The change in available space for movement required some adjustment but in the end I got it. This video shows you that you can try free motion quilting on the equipment available at home and you do not need an extra equipment to learn the basics.
