I always review your wonderful instructions when I make a bag. I love quilting the fabric first so that my bag comes out lined. Your method for the handles is my favorite--neat and practical. Thank you so much. Please keep sharing your creative ideas. From California, Maria Lucia Gomez-Greenberg 😎🌻🏳🌈

Lovely bags, as usual, and I especially like the use of French Seams. Wondering if the best way to add an inside pocket would be to insert a “hanging pocket” under the same top seam as the handle ends are inserted into. (Hope that makes sense). Thank you.

2 years late but glad I saw this. I was wondering if I could just do it this simple but worried about the corners. I see its not a problem. I may still box them after Im done.I have made a lot of tote bags from jeans but unless I line them I dont like the look of just zig zagged edges. Trying this tomorrow! thnaks so much! Your tutorial is spot on! So precise and clear. You would make a good school teacher 😻. I will be making about a hundred of these for this year’s Operation Christmas Child-the shoe box ministry started by Billy Graham’s son Franklin. Shoeboxes full of school supplies, toothbrushes, soap, toys, crayons and coloring books. Last year I made drawstring bags but I like your pattern much better. Simpler and more functional. Thank you - the children all over the world will be delighted!
