Hello Free Ride 109 family! 👋❤️ This is Nathan, the guy from the video. I’m currently lounging on Jukia’s comfy couch, reflecting on the incredible kindness he’s shown me. Remember the onsen adventure we mentioned in the video? Well, Jukia went above and beyond, offering me a cozy spot to sleep on after I missed the last train back to my hostel. This experience truly highlights the genuine hospitality of 109 Free Ride, both on the camera and off the camera! From the moment I stepped foot in Japan, the warmth and generosity have been overwhelming, starting with Jukia and the entire 109 Free Ride team.🇯🇵🏠😍 My journey in Japan has been nothing short of magical. The adventure escalated when my dad joined me in Tokyo. We immersed ourselves in the city’s vibrant life, mesmerized by the neon-lit streets and the quaint charm of its hidden alleys. We stumbled upon a Montbell store, a treasure trove that we revisited at least four times during our trip! One of our initial escapades involved savoring onigiri at a 7-Eleven, where my dad was pleasantly astounded by the quality of convenience store fare in Japan, a stark contrast to what we’re used to in the USA.🍙🤩 Our odyssey took us to Kyoto next, where we explored the serene beauty of temples, shrines, and historical castles, like Kiyomizu-dera and the Thousand Torii Gates. The sight of these gates left us in awe - it was unlike anything we’d ever seen. We hiked to the shrine’s summit, rewarded with breathtaking views of Kyoto. At night, the sight of Osaka Castle, surrounded by blooming sakura and juxtaposed against modern skyscrapers, seemed like a scene from a dream. Just like in the video, we kept pinching ourselves, saying, “It feels like a dream.”🏯🌃 A standout moment was experiencing a baseball game in Osaka, cheering for the Buffalos amidst the enthusiastic crowd and relishing the delicious stadium food such as Takoyaki and Edamame. It was a unique and exhilarating experience compared to the baseball games back home!🍱🏟️ Our trip to Nara was equally memorable. Initially, the deer in the crowded parks didn’t bow to us, leading to a hilarious yet enlightening moment. After researching the proper way to feed them and finding a quieter spot, the sight of the bowing deer in exchange for biscuits was both hilarious and endearing.😂👌🦌 Japan has captivated my heart, with each day here more enchanting than the last, thanks in no small part to the amazing people at 109 Freeride. Something as simple as strolling through Tokyo’s streets, leaves me with a profound sense of awe; the novelty, beauty, and meticulous cleanliness of this land are simply mesmerizing. It’s the sheer simplicity of these moments that resonates deeply with me as a foreigner. I’m already dreaming of my next visit to this wondrous land.🇯🇵❤️ As my journey continues, I plan to venture south from Osaka to Hiroshima and explore Shikoku Island.
