Alex you knocked that one out of the park again! How can anyone just throw away a 2015 mower without trying to sell it? Good to see you save it from scrap buddy! Looking forward to your next project as well. You will definitely have some nice machines to sell in the spring when mowers wont start in your area. Great channel with lots of content sir! Thanks again for your military service! ✌🇺🇸

Another great video Alex! It looks like the person bought it and used it until it just quit without doing anything to it. Those are some of the worst blades I've ever seen! Those front ends are horrible and if bending the tabs on the spindles isn't enough I take a hammer and knock the spindle in that way swinging toward the mower with the wheel fully turned out. I remove the drag link to do this as well. I did that this week on a Husqvarna with a badly worn front end to get it to track straight going forward. Only negative is a toe in effect in reverse. Yours looks like it was in good shape besides the toe out which is good. Look forward to the next repair!

Good video as always, only things I would have done different would have been install an inline fuel shut off valve and installed inner tubes in the front tires. I am working on my neighbor’s mower which is in way rougher condition but still fixable to use for mowing next spring; it’s a 1998 Murray 42in, I am going with tubes since I could not get the bead to re-seal on the front tires.

That's from 2015? Wow! I guess if you don't maintain stuff it gets old looking really quick. My Poulan (Pronounced like Poland, but without the D) Pro was made in 2010 and looks a lot better than that. Mine's a 20hp 46" cut with the metal hydrostat trans. and it still runs great. Has 419 hours on it. Now, I have had to change stuff like spindles, blades, batteries and last week instead of rebuilding the old carb I just swapped it out for a new one as the old one began flooding the cylinder and locking it up, but I think for a now 14 year old mower it's doing pretty well. I even added "Poor man's power steering" to it a couple weeks ago and reset the valve lash to .004 and .006 and if I can get 2 more mowing seasons out of it I'll be happy because by then I will have saved enough up in cash to go get a zero turn Ariens Ikon without having to finance it, lol.

Take the carby apart and clean out the emulsion tube. If there is no tap between the fuel tank and the carby then the emulsion tube is the first to plug up. A tap allows you to run the fuel out and leave the carby dry when not in use.

Thanks for posting these videos. They have for sure helped me with a few mower repairs!!! When you paint the mower deck, do you remove all of the spindles and pulleys, or do you just tape and paint around everything?
@freedommowers420
10 ай бұрын
Thank you so much for the support. I actually don’t tape anything, but I should for a cleaner result. If I get overspray on the decals I take a towel with some gas on it and it wipes right off of the paint has not fully cured.

My dipstick always shows it being "over-full" Engine claims it holds 46-48 ounces of oil (1.5 quarts) but if you put that much in it after draining it and installing new filters it always goes most of the way up the da**ed dipstick, lol, no matter how many times ya wipe it off and re-check the thing. Ah well, it runs like it's supposed to anyhow. I took off that plastic "quick-drain" and installed a permanent rubber drain hose on mine because I got tired of trying to keep up with where I last put the clear plastic drain hose, lol.

Nicely done!, Questions, 1: will a mower NOT start if seat is up? 2: where i can i pick up a new carb like the 3rd one you used. I just picked one up on a trade for some sofas and it would start only on choke, once put into high or low it will die.took out carb and it was disgusting, cleaned it up best i could and now it wilil not start at all, guessing i losened up more junk and clogged up jet even more (FYI seat was up due to dead battery thats why the first question) I want to do a new carb and new plug as well. its a poulandpro PP11G30 with a LONCIN 350cc Engine(never heard of this brand) . Any help will bre greatly appreciated. Thank you for the videos

As long as the brake pedal is in the locked position the mower should start without being on the seat. You can find inexpensive carbs on amazing. The engine you have is a Chinese made for a lot of the newer riding mowers. Look around on the engine or type in the name and hp or size of the engine and see if you can find one on Amazon. Usually around $15-20. I hope this helps.

About your screwdriver removing that bowl - I just purchased a set of JIS driver bits and a couple of JIS screwdrivers. So far it looks like I’ll be able to retire most of my Phillips screwdrivers and associated problems. These JIS tools exceeded everything I’d heard about them. I finally broke down and bought these when I started to work on my first Japanese OPE, an Echo leaf blower. What a pleasure to use the correct tools! 🪛👍
