I used to work in the lawn and garden for the home service appliance repair for SEARS some time ago. Whenever i had a call for “tractor wouldn’t start” I knew 4 things could be it. 1. Old battery 2. Valve adjustment. 3. Bad gas/ dirty carb. Or last but not least, number 4. The cam was bad. When I pulled up to the house and saw this engine it was definitely the cam 😂 head gaskets tend to go as well.

Looks amazing. $600 for Zack. And lesson learned to check the motion of new parts before reassembly.

Zack ! I know, it's been a year ago. We have a Snapper RER 210 "Turtle", "automatic transmission", like you show. It runs with the stator cut-off wire dis-connected. It doesnt run with the wire connected. Can you tell me how many safety switches are on this machine and where they're at? Do you have a wiring diagram? I checked all the switches I could find. All seemed to be ok. I was communicating with a "Snapper guy", not an official Snapper mechanic. He never worked on the model we have. That didn't help much. I can't afford to pay a local lawnmower shop $100 an hour to fix this beast. Your help is much appreciated.

Where do you get all these free mowers? I'm lucky to find a rusty piece of junk for sale for 50 bucks.

Snapper should have updated the older style. Even offer an Electric version.
