Thank you so much, sir! It's easy to understand, and I hope you continue to make a series of tutorials. And it would be very nice of you if you could show us how to do a sliding mesh in OpenFoam.

thank you so much for your video. When I come to convert the file using ideasUnvToFoam it gives me the error below: --> FOAM FATAL ERROR: (openfoam-2212 patch=230110) cannot find file "/mnt/e/2_mesh/system/controlDict" From virtual Foam::autoPtr Foam::fileOperations::uncollatedFileOperation::readStream(Foam::regIOobject&, const Foam::fileName&, const Foam::word&, bool) const in file global/fileOperations/uncollatedFileOperation/uncollatedFileOperation.C at line 561. It is nice. You did not mention how to get the initial OpenFOAM case for further adjustment.

Yes, sorry, if briefly the initial OF case you can get from opt/OpenFoam/tutorials/ - here you can find examples for all solvers of OF

Thanks for the valuable video, Sir. I have a question regarding inlet velocity. You specified relative velocity as purely axial. But from continuity, the absolute velocity is axial and relative velocity should have axial and tangential components as I know from velocity triangle at inlet. Is that correct?

@ Evgeniy Ivanov I have tried your suggested fvScheme and fvsolution files for my geomery which is a radial section of a forward-curved fan with approved mesh ("Mesh OK" according to checkMesh). My mesh included more complex mesh (hybrid). It faild to solve it. Could you please suggest more robust "fvscheme" and "fvsolution" files. I would be a greate faovr

Evgeniy, please allow the community to edit the transcript of your video, so we can contribute, and fix the poor translation from Google's auto-generated results. I find your voice is very clear, but the transcript is making too many mistakes on the technical terms used.

@@CFDIntech oh, I am sad now - I discovered that KZitem has dropped the "community transcript" option over a year ago. I was asking for the impossible now!

Evgeniy, would you have the idea how to simulate in turbine mode, e.g. like pump-as-turbine? Is it as simple as just reversing the inlet and outlet boundary conditions, and perhaps the speed direction?
@CFDIntech
2 жыл бұрын
Yes, you can set massFlowRate to outlet, but you have to use volute, because flow direction without volute will be have not right direction, I can prepare example about turbine simulation for impeller + volute if it is interesting

Very good tutorial but I think that it would be easier with free Engys openfoam software, may you try to make tutorial with Engys?

It’s a good idea I think, but I didn’t use the Engys before, I will try to repeat some cases there also I think

@@Poduhvat Agree with you, goal of GUI is save time

Of course that GUI save time and make software much more easier to use. I am surprised that for so long time no one had not made GUI for OpeanFoam including much more simpler meshing than in Saloma software. For example I use Autodesk CFD where you can set up simulation in few steps in Solid works is even more simpler. FreeCad and especially OpenFoam, Paraview as well are great software but they are all separated and it take a lot of time to go trough them all. If there would be some kind of 'roof' software to united them all that would be great. Like Blender in modelling and animation area for example.

@@viktorlevchenko4337 не на проф уровне. Когда-то сделал на работу на вытяжку панель Жолондковского вместо вент зонта. Понравилось. Но, подозреваю, можно было сделать лучше ( я из настенного календаря лепил).
