This reminded me about a Brazilian short movie called "Ilha das Flores" (Flower Island) that, in a very interesting and creatively way, discourses about food waste, consumption and misery in the film contex.

That's interesting considering the time we're living by now. Here, in Brazil, most people are not aware of helping the environment. Instead of that they prefer producing too much garbage as they think they really need everything they buy. Consumerism is a problem in countries like Brazil, but I'm sure people might be conscious one day.

I think the hyper-wasteful stage is sort of an in-between in well-developed but not quite first-world countries. people have resources but not education.
