lol.... RLCS is the peak of ability and the term freestyler has become redundant. Call me negative, but reality is negative. Freestylers by definition have nowhere near enough speed/efficiency in tactical situations to test the current meta. Zen and most modern super mechanical players show that the line that was between the classification of freestyler/pro player that existed does not exist anymore. They are an amalgamation of the two ideas. Hate to say it but you can already see from his play and inconsistent ability that no amount of commitment or improvement over time will cover for the flaws in his gameplay.

good luck on your journey! I think an easy tip is to watch a lot of rocket league. idk how much you already watch but maybe watch some pros you like/pros you think you play similar to and compare it to your own recordings. try to focus on a few things to "take" from them. also shooting is something few practice much but being confident in slapping shots full power (without flipping too) will do lots for your game.

and you really think he is not good at basic mechanics like that? like he said in his intro, an unexpected maktuf reset might throw the opponent off but only in choice situations, its not like i expect to see a hexa reset in rlcs, but the higher skill ceiling of mechanics he has might allow him to do something that only high level freestylers would be able to do and throw off the opponent once in a while@@Matthewz_Ws

I didn't notice allot that you coulda improve on fast, but one of the tips I have for you is if the ball is pushed into the corner 4:12 and the opponent has the ball behind them, they are able to see you and jump over your bump like he did, but since he's pushed up into the corner, you can jump aswell, it's not going to commit you in any way (since you can wavedash and turn in) and it has a higher chance of giving you the demo, this exact situation happens on average twice a game, it's a good idea to take advantage of it whenever this happens (+ happy to see you're back)

The main things I noticed wrong in your playing is that you're either too far away from the play allowing to much space between you and your tm8, and you do too many turns away from the ball. I may only be gc1 but I'd consider my game awareness, rotations, and decision making solid, so I'd appreciate it if you gave my advice at least a thought in your gameplay. I love your playstyle, one of my favorite freestylers and its nice to see you trying to get better, keep working.

Alot of mechanical people think that the best way to go about is simple, like for example instead of going for a reset flick above prejumper, they 50 them. What I mean here is that one of the best things to think about in rocket league is “how do I beat him to the ball”. Sometimes happens to me too, I play simple instead of mechanical, with a shove away your mechanics because of flashy = bad mindset. But players like you and me who spent almost all their hours on mechs means we are better/more precise on our ball/car control. Edit: note that flashy isn’t the same as unnecessary, an open net is still an open net so it’s way better to go for a shot rather than a double touch, but to use mechanics to outplay opponents when needed

Good luck! Will be interesting to see someone with this level of mechanical skill go pro. Since I am lower rated than you are I'm not going to try and point out any mistakes. However (I am sure you know this), try to question *everything* and find out why you do these things. Try to really root out any bad habits that you might have that make sense in a freestyling context and won't make sense in a competitive context.

in terms of 2s since youre playing 2s in this video, id say some general tips would be When becoming 1st man, if possible, create time for your teammate to rotate out and be aware of his position so you can adjust when passing or rotating out Playing 2nd man in 2s is unsupported as compared to 3s, so playing a little deeper in terms of shadowing/supporting first man would've benefitted you in these few games playing deep for support of the 2st man is better than playing deep only for the purpose of boost, its better to play small pads more than 100 pads in 2s the secondary focus's would be demos/bumps while rotating or when possible, disrupting any dribble plays early or air plays and lastly being able to stay in the play on low boost hovering around small pads and yeah i know others have their ideas and might think mine are wrong but ya know its okay

If you watch this video it looks like you are missing 6-10 mini pads a game. It is not that you needed them, but I feel like at the highest highest level the different between 48 boost and 60 could be another touch/reset/ beating someone to a challenge. I wish you the best of luck idk if this helps or not just something I noticed.
