I have been crying for weeks 😢 Still frustrated That I didn't have A CHANCE to see him live in free JAZZFUSION But mostley THE WHISTLING TONES, JEFF BECK PRODUCES BY USING FLAGEOLETS WITH SUPER HIGH HARMONICS THE DIFFICULTY WITH THAT TECHNIQUE IS THAT THOSE ULTRA HIGH FLAGEOLETS LOW AT THE NECK AROUND 2TH AND 5TH POSITION THEY ARE NOT LIKE YOU ARE USED TO EXACTLY AT THE 12/7/OR 5TH POSITION BUT THEY HAVE FEW MILLIMETERS OFF (AWAY) FROM THE FRET WHAT JEFF WAS MAKING WAS ABOVE MAGNIFICENT BECAUSE HE TURNED THE VOLUME TO 0 THAN PICKED A NOTE LETS SAY 2,8 MM FROM THE 3TH FRET EN OPEN HIS VOLUME EN ALWAYS SPOT ON ALRIGHT HE HAS A TREMOLO BUT AGAIN THAT'S ALSO BEEN THE RIDDLE OF MY LIFE AS FAR AS I COULD SEE HE WAS USING THE STANDARD TREMOLO FROM FENDER WHICH IS THE WORST THING I REALLY EVER LAID MY HANDS ON THE TREMOLO BAR OF FENDER ONCE USED YOUR ENTIRE GUITAR IS TOTALLY OUT OF TUNE

You could tell he was always destined to be a STAR: Jeff fell in love with Rock and Roll as a child, and built his first guitar as a teenager. "The guy next door said, 'I'll build you a solid body guitar for five pounds", "Five pounds, which to me was 500 back then, so I went ahead and did it myself". "The first one I built was in 1956, because Elvis was out, and everything that you heard about pop music was guitar.". RIP Jeff. I'm always amazed at how Jeff can simulate tape speed manipulation with his fingers and guitar. No one else has ever done this to my knowledge. His instincts are of another level which he translates so fluidly to the guitar. I certainly enjoy his fusion jazz oriented stuff ( I saw him on The Wired Tour), but I love his rock and roll chops. We are indeed fortunate to be alive when Jeff Beck was. As with many here, I was around when we all first heard of him, Clapton, the Who, the Beatles, Stones, etc. And we are indeed fortunate to have a huge volume of his work to listen to, to watch on youtube until we die. There's Page, Beck, and Clapton, according to age - the big 3. I pray that Page and Clapton still have many years left and continue to play for us. God forbid, one day we will hear that Ringo and Macca have died. Ringo just turned 83 in July.

Jeff's best band since his earlier days. The best chemistry between the 4. They come together as one. All master musicians in their own right. I've followed the guitar gods since the late 60s on.. Jeff had the courage to get sound out of a guitar more than the greats. He demanded more out of the guitar than it was willing to give. He is ( was ) the most genious with the guitar. A magician. Not with standing Hendrix. R. I. P. Jeff.
