One of my favorite eras, your army is most impressive! Great eye candy!

This channel is really becoming a beautiful digital library of 15mm armies. I have quite a collection myself - but not like this! I did Italian wars, unfortunately in 10mm, mostly Pendraken figs for Warmaster historical (the Pendraken stuff is good, but it's not useful with my other figures). They didn't turn out really. Anyway, this period of "bastard feudalism" and late antiquated chivalry is perfect for war-gaming. Pageantry and presentation, combined arms forces, and most of the figures work for multiple armies. Love the Impetus diorama style bases too. Great stuff!

A gorgeous collection mate, definitely has the feel of a Valois army. Those gendarmes with their colours and banners are spectacular! Do you have any renaissance forces from the east - Ottomans or Hungarians?

Great work again Kevin. The Essex figures still hold up well after some 30 years. They paint well, have a great variety of poses and look amazing en masse.

John I agree. There are some new 15mm from Khurasan and blue moon that are really nice but I had these and I like them. They are probably 30 years old🤣🤣

Lovely models, I have a large 15mm collection which have been gathering dust for too many years. Hope you don't mind I have some questions, what basing sizes have you used and what rule system do you prefer?

Hi Paul Thanks for your comments. I recently rebased these I had everything on old WRG basing but decided that I didn’t like the look nor handling aspect. I went for the new convention of larger bases. I play several rules but like the warlords genre. Hail Caesar and pike and shorts. I have some adaptations to the rules I’ve pulled from other places and it makes for a fun game. Basing then is my own idea of UNITs. I use 3 different bases but all on the idea of 40mm frontage.either times 1,2, or 4. So a normal unit is 80mm frontage. Infantry and cavalry. A small unit is 40mm frontage but can be combined right 2 makes 80mm. two units of 80mm make a large unit. My Renaissance armies too had gathered dust. I brushed them off, rebased and added some new units. Made for lots of enjoyment.

Hi Andy. Thank you so much for the wonderful words. I am really glad you like them. I paint every night instead of watching TV. So they grow relatively quickly. The flags! I generally never buy flags. I have on occasion like some Pete’s flags but I like flags a little larger. I use war flag .com or online sources. Make them in PowerPoint. Print and them paint them with shading. The next army is particularity beautiful. Imperialists. Hope you will like them.

@@worldhistoryminiatureshous9757 you are right. I’ll try to get closer. 15mm were meant to look at with a distance of 2 feet. When you get closer they loose the beauty sometimes I look at them with wonder and then I’ll zoom in on it with the iPhone. I can’t believe all of the mistakes I made But I can’t see them with my normal eyes. Maybe some different angles would help. I’ll play with it.
