As a frenchie owner myself, I never let my dog out of my sight in public ever. It’s not a secret these dogs are highly susceptible to theft. Sadly, I don’t even allow my niece to take my dog out for a walk by herself (for both their safety).

@LunaP I agree 💯! Back in 2003, I got a pug from a breeder. I named him Frodo, and I LOVED that dog so much!! He had a lot of health issues over the years and passed in 2015. In 2016, I was ready for another dog. I never had kids, I am now disabled am I am alone while my husband works, so I NEEDED a companion badly! My husband found the CUTIEST puppy ( that is, her in my profile pic ), ever in a shelter. We drove over 2 hours to get her, and I don't know what I would do without her. I will NEVER buy another dog again. I will ALWAYS adopt. I did a DNA test on her, and she is a Malchi. I have NEVER had a dog that is as smart as her. She is VERY smart. Exactly. Your right, this shoddy reporting but it starts with classifying this as a theft. The dog was running loose in the building and just came up to the driver. He's the only good Samaritan. The owner absolutely didn't pay attention to his dog, they're lucky the dog didn't end up on the street. But the news instead of blaming the well-off idiots, who are at fault for being irresponsible, decided to blame the deliver person who we know is probably working 60hrs to make ends meet, they barely have time to pee. I seriously can not believe the phrasing that the so-called reporter used to describe the situation.
@ladonnabby
Жыл бұрын
It’s the entitlement of owners who don’t follow leash laws assuming they are an exception. I bet that building even has pet agreements in the lease that says the animal should’ve been leashed on grounds. So what if a stranger gets in next time and gets off with an unattended animal. The owners would try to blame security when they are in fact liable. They are lucky the building gave them access to security footageZ

@Kittymancer78
Жыл бұрын
Yes, yes. Finally an intelligent comment. The driver should have taken it to the shelter, tbh. Let them keep doing the foot work, especially since they had the audacity to then call it a THEFT. The owners were totally irresponsible. On the front desk thing, a manned front lobby is a New York thing. In L.A. it's all keyed entry; card key or code. There generally isn't anyone there. So the owners are super lucky the dog didn't end up on the street. No one else seemed interested in assisting the dog. An considering how they somehow turned the hero in to the villain, its no wonder.

@@ZacharySire Well, considering that French Bulldogs are always being stolen, common sense would be to always keep your dog on a leash - French Bulldog or not.
