Its refreshing to see French girls having an open discussion about veganism! Im sharing this with friends who need to hear these perspectives.

Great outreach as always, and as a native french speaker, I didn't noticed any significative inaccuracy with the french to english translation! Just a question, why do you choose to put some graphic video of animals being mistreated while most of us viewers are already vegan?
@veganpowerlab

That’s a good question. I’m hoping that if nonvegans watch this they will be interested to look further into it. But, I might try something else, now that you mention it. Thanks 🙏 🤗💚

She's hit on something I've been trying to suggest for a long time. Although she isn't justified (one bit), it would help if there was more 'Community' offered to new Vegans.

She hits the crux of the issue, social hindrance is the greatest reason people stop or don't even try veganism. Going with the herd has massive survival benefits

Exactly; I also said roughly the same thing above. It's not just about taste pleasure! The hardest part is Social Pressure! Let's be honest: Some people on rare occasions will lose their jobs ( they should be prepared to get a better one or join us perhaps). People will definitely lose friends but SO WHAT?
@stevesas632

This is true, but any other violent behaviour, exploitation & oppression, most people would still cut themselves from it, but animals, that they're not actually witnessing the suffering first hand, they can easily put it to the back of their mind, & continue with their social groups.
@elizabethmadness5277

Couldn’t agree more. Being Vegan requires standing alone and being a leader in a way most have never experienced.
@piaogilvie8463
Ай бұрын
That's definitely part of it, but taste, habits, arrogance, cultures, disconnection, economics, lack of taking social responsibility, ignorance and years and years of disregarding animals as sentient beings are all reasons for people to not change. Changing the way of the World is a fight up hill and against the wind, but the discussions are happening, the outreach, the compassion, knowledge is all here. We'll keep on keeping on for the animals and for our planet 💚

@veganpowerlab

@@asdf1991asdf so, what you’re saying is that you couldn’t make a plant based diet work and instead of consulting an expert or doing more research, you decided to exploit animals?

@veganpowerlab haha how presumptuous. I understand nutrition very well. Not everyone can abstain from animal fat and protein. I know this is upsetting for people like you because you ideology believe everyone should eat like you despite the fact that we didn't evolve for a vegan diet. You do you. I went to extensive efforts to make it work and it didn't and couldn't. I know many others who couldn't either. This is a fact regardless of what you want to or even need to believe in.

Nice work, Cip. An outreacher's goal is to give people the facts, give them the perspective from the victim's point of view, make them aware of their responsibility and acknowledge that they are making a conscious choice to unnecessarily exploit animals. What the person does with that information is ultimately in their hands.

I agree. I also learned that pushing too much can sometimes make it so that they become less interested. I should’ve probably added a hook at the end like “sometimes the beat things we do in life are not easy”… something to get them to think and incentivize them to act

@milys8902 To someone who knows what the word vegan means, your comment reads like this, “Choosing to avoid violently exploiting the bodies of sentient victims, where possible, is an option for people who live in a consumerism society……..” That doesn’t make sense. Anyone anywhere can choose to avoid violence where possible. People in poorer countries eat less meat to begin with because meat is expensive.
