HI, what is the different between the helical pile vs goliath tech? and could you do it on a 24% slope hill?

What if you hit solid rock at 2.5 feet and building code requires a minimum depth of 4 feet?

Hi Mark, thanks for your question. If we were to hit solid rock (ie - bedrock) at 2.5 feet you would likely not need a deep foundation system. However, if you are referring to an obstruction, you have a couple options: 1) Retract the helical pile and reinstall it along the grade beam as necessary 2) Retract and reinstall it in the same location on a batter (slight angle) One of the benefits of helical piles is that you do not have to abandon the pile. In most cases, it can be removed and reinstalled (unlike other deep foundation options). I hope that answers your question, if not feel free to reach out again!
