Thanks so much for the compliments ❤️ I appreciate it and glad you are enjoying my videos. I think you did fantastic for just trying this out. It takes a bit of patients and practice. Few pointers to help out for next time, I like to always do on a light paint colour background. It blends better with the graphics and you won’t have the mod Podge and paper that is stubborn show as much. Also I seal all my signs with poly acrylic sealer. I find the mod Podge as a top coat dries a bit cloudy and the sealer will take a lot of that away! Love how you are supporting other creators and trying new craft projects! Amazing job Sammie 🌸♥️

Sammie...I love the idea of focusing on "DIY's for your Booth". I feel like so many of us have started new booths this past year due to Covid, so I've selfishly been hoping that since you too have started a booth, you would be sharing DIYs and flips to put in it! I've been searching, and there really aren't a lot of channels that really FOCUS on booth stuff. Stuff like staging, season changing, impulse items, etc. Yes, there are a few great ones (Upcycled by Bri and Julie's Designs and signs, Green Onion vintage) but not nearly enough! I'm really hoping you'll help to fill that gap! What do ya say? 🤞🙏🤔

Great diy's, loved them all! If you want an easy way to transfer a printed image to some more wooden pieces, Liquitex from Amazon, hobby lobby or Michael's works great and is very easy to use. If you get it from Michael's you can use a coupon and get it for the best price though. Tfs!

Love these. To get my DT items( like the flag tag you used) “clean” I first rip off all the paper then spray it with warm water, let it sit 5 or so minutes then come back with a scraper to get off that brown fuzzy stuff that’s under the paper. Works great and I can use both sides to decorate ☺️

@LindasDIYbyDesign
3 жыл бұрын
Great diys!! I’ve used different things for paper to wood transfer but have found that I actually like using a water based poly acrylic sealer best! It only takes about 2 hours to dry before you start rubbing that paper off…and hardly leaves much paper fiber residue! Hugsies!!
@UnicornDustDesigns
3 жыл бұрын
What!?! So you put polyacrylic down on the paper and then put it face down, allow to dry, and do the same thing!?!
@LindasDIYbyDesign
3 жыл бұрын
@@UnicornDustDesigns yes ma’am!! Make sure it says “water based’ on the can. I buy the Minwax water based poly acrylic sealer in Matte. I use a foam sponge to brush on a nice thick layer, paper face down. (You know you an even use scrapbook paper! Design face down (of course if it has words on the design those will be backwards) smooth out the paper. Let dry minimum 2 hours. Then I like to use a sponge soaked with water to rub off the paper. You will probably lose some design if you rub too much or get too soaked, but that’s the beauty of a rustic look. 😉. Then often while my design is still a little wet after rubbing off that paper, I’ll do a layer of matte mod podge over the top. I do it while it’s still wet because when doing this technique as it dries, if you don’t get the full layer of paper all the way off you’ll see a cloudy paper fiber look (which can actually be helpful to let you know where you need to continue to rub) …but if I add mod podge to seal while it’s still a little wet, it will help keep that cloudy layer down to a minimum. 💛

So I can't wait to show you, basically how I screwed it up😂😂😂😂😂 I had to pause the video so I could stop laughing, girl you sound like me! If I were making videos my channel would be could, "I thought I was crafty" 😂🤷♀️ Edit: I'm not calling Sammie not crafty, it was just what she said that made me laugh, I obviously wouldn't be subscribed to her if I didn't love her.

I love these! You done an awesome job Sammie! I’m so glad you gave recommendations for new channels as well. I’m subscribed to Daysi and I’m the same.....why doesn’t she have more subscribers? She’s amazing! I’m supposedly subscribed to “all” but just realized I’m not getting notifications for her new uploads. I hit the all button again so hopefully KZitem will notify me now. I love this challenge! Girl, you always come up with the greatest ideas! 😊💕😄🌸
