Absolutely love this update! Love the jig you made to use so the jump rings are made at the same time.

Hi Again!! Again, thanks for your comment, so glad you enjoyed the video. It was time to freshen up that project. The split rings I used the first time weren't supposed to rust, but as you can see from the video they sure did, and I didn't like that look at all. The new connectors won't rust, and the addition of the glass bead made the whole project look new!! Enjoy your day!! Regards, Bill Stone

Hi Rachel, Great to hear from you again, with the copper wire you can do all kinds of things. I'm working on a new video which shows a different style of hanger. Keep your eyes open for that one, should be out by the end of the week. Again, thanks for your comment. Have a great day!! Regards, Bill Stone

Hi Austra, Glad you found the video to be of interest!! it's always fun to try different ideas, sometimes they work out and other times not so much!! I got this idea because I wanted to use something that wouldn't rust. Have a good one!! Regards, Bill Stone

@@billstonesstainedglasscrea3310 yes that's the thing I find difficult I want my glass in the garden as art but don't want it to rust the only thing I can think of is to use copper I don't mind if it turns verdigris, like to stake in the ground amongst flowers but I love windchimes & lanterns Have an awesome day 😊 I'm thinking of buying a kiln so I can use it for clay & glass & that way I can put the glass in so it's smooths the edges of the glass how you have & doesn't need foil or soldering, ive seen some other glass art I'd like to do in the kiln with fusing glass that would be fun 😁

Love the bead with copper wire. I'm in Southeast Iowa and it can get pretty windy. I found I had to bring the sun catchers I made last summer. Had one get a break, however you can only see it if you look for it. Been trying to figure out how to avoid running out to save them......

Hi Julie, Great to hear from you again. We lived in Lake Havasu City, AZ for 10 Years and had a lot of wind, never had one break. I used to hold them out at a 45-degree angle and if they couldn't hit anything all the way around, I was good to leave them out. I'm making another short video on a single suncatcher using my wife's quilting patterns that I made her several years ago and it needs an upgrade really bad!! I'm going to use the next size copper wire (16 gauge) for this upgrade, so it will be stronger yet!! Also, like I said on the video you could always solder the loop closed. Thanks for your comment!! Regards, Bill Stone

Thanks for the info. Got sun catchers on shepherd hooks. I'll do the 45 degree test. I'm in Ottumwa Iowa and looking for winds up to 45 mph tomorrow. Always look forward to your videos.

Hi again, I bet you if the suncatchers have a long chain on them that they won't pass the 45-degree test!! I have some solar lanterns on shepherd hooks, and I put them on with a real short chain so then don't hit the down post on the shepherd hook. Glad you are enjoying the videos!! Have a great day.
