Hello there, about the heat build-up with thinn kerf saw blades: depending on the material to be cut, these can build up resin deposits on the sides of the teeth more quickly, which can disrupt their proper functioning. This phenomenon is due to the smaller tooth protrusion opposite the steel blade. The sides of a sawtooth have two clearance angles and when sharpening those grinding in the steel blade is to be avoided (the grinding wheel is verry close to the steel blade). It becomes clear that the less the overhang of the sawtooth in relation to this steel, the smaller the clearance. The smaller, the faster there will be resin deposits. Vriendelijke groeten.
