4:34 "Thank you for telling your story".The lady on the left is trying to rush her and/or stop her, while the one on the right prompts her to finish it and tells her to take her time. I wonder if there was some backstage conflict about that.

Why do people always blame the victim? I don't understand how one person can be responsible for another person's actions. Stop doing this.! Abuse and manipulation are alot easier to fall victim to then it seems. Everyone has been manipulated and taken advantage of unbeknownst to them until it was too late. It happens everyday so no it's never the victim's fault..never!!!

I went to a studio once for a shoot. Alone but did a LOT of research before going. 1. Google reviews 2. Crowded building 3. Were there other participants waiting at the studio or was it just you? 4. IMDB profile online that shows the movies produced under the name 5. Is the email address legit? Do YOUR research. And ALWAYS trust your gut!

the things that people say about rape is disgusting. this woman said "you have long hair and soft features, you're very beautiful" to a man who was sexually assaulted, I wanted to slap her there an then but had no strength. It's brave of this woman to tell her story and for her to star in the film and go face to face with her trauma. she is a survivor. God bless her and bring healing

Regardless of the issue of if this particular woman's story is true or false being discussed, it seems that reality of the horrific existence of human sex trafficking is a disgusting reality that transcends even Frida's single story, whether her's is fully accurate or not ( I have no evidence either for or against it.) The horrifying story of her experience is almost certainly a reality for millions. The estimates of 20 million abductions with a 2% escape rate is horrifying. More than trying to prove if this single person did or didn't fabricate a story for fame, the bigger issue is fighting this horrible problem. "The only thing necessary for evil to triumph in the world is that good men do nothing."

I tried to watch it but there is just too much victimization and trauma in it. She even says to the guy to tell her how beautiful she is. That is pretty disgusting. If she had self defense training, she might have been able to fight him enough to get out when he first locked her in. The reason the police made excuses is because they are in on it and protecting the sex traffickers. What they said was completely mocking and stupid. You can't lock someone in a room. They blamed her for the whole thing, and then she blamed herself. The police want women to feel stupid and at fault so they can keep doing this. There are probably freemasons involved. Look at Jeffrey Dahmer. Some little boy escaped him nude with blood dripping from his rectum, and the police brought him back to Dahmer saying he was going to take care of him. What happened to those cops, probably nothing. I heard once that most men, maybe 80% said if they could get away with a rape they would. That means that that many probably have since it isn't hard to get away with at all. I am glad she had the sense to sneak out and get out. Maybe the guy was being raided. He probably wanted her to run out, so he woudln't get caught. These men are morons anyway, they are bound to make a lot of mistakes.

I believe an incident happened to this woman 16 years ago in London...that would make the year 2003, 2004 well, I was living there at the time and her story was not national news. I certainly didn't hear anything, but that doesn't mean she wasn't in the news. I didn't know her name till just now...but I'm going with my guts, my "Espn" on dis one, and say something ain't right. I don't believe she is giving the full and accurate information and I'm not Law Enforcement and from reading up about the case, the Police was not fully convinced either. Something horrific like dat happened to you, well why is there no mention of the rape kit results? In the movie she is shown bathing every time she was raped. At the outset of the film she said it is based on "her true story" so I am suppose to believe that she washed herself off every time she was raped. So by the same token, I am suppose to believe that back in 2003/4 she had a daughter, but research shows that she had no child then. Therefore off the bat, her story is NOT credible and has no integrity < and that's what I have a problem with P.S. usually you don't see victims acting in a full movie reliving something as horrific as that < they usually get actresses to play them; but didn't she say that she had just finished acting school when this incident occurred??? And technically, I do not think her case qualifies as sex trafficking. She was bought and used like a prostitute. "Trafficking" implies you are sold to someone overseas or elsewhere for the purpose of being a sex slave...
@katfromjax

She did say in an interview she wasn't quite believed by the Authorities. There was fiction within the movie to make it more appealing to an audience. This is done with ALL biographical movies. Why would this make NATIONAL news? This happens so often to so many young men, women and children. We get to find out about 10% of those lucky enough to make the news. This almost happened to me at age 5 - I wasn't on any news. Your response is TYPICAL, disappointing and shows how LITTLE you know about human sex trafficking and sex slavery. Rape kit results? Are you obtuse? She was raped over a period of time by multiple men. Her captor forced her to clean herself and douche.

So instead of helping create awareness from the movie about sex trafficking you are trying to decide what does and doesn't add up? That just makes you part of the problem. This happens so often, not every single one makes the news. How the fuck do you think she'll be able to do or even get a rape kit?? She was held captive in the damn room, having to take order. It is based on a true event not everything is going to match word for word. THIS IS SEX TRAFFICKING. Being held against your will and sold for sex. There is no categories, plain and simple.

@@katfromjax Thank you so so much for your amazing reply. You have no idea how much I appreciate it. My heart broke when I read the comment from Princess Consuela and your message was amazing. Comments like the ones from PC is exactly why so many women don't dare to talk about ordeals like mine. It's extremely intimidating to open up about it. And that's whole reason I made the film in the first place, to show other women that it's ok to talk about it and that more women need to do that to make the subject less tabu. I just want to say thank you!! Lots of hugs!!

@@katfromjax Wow!!! I don't mean to be rude..well yes I guess I do mean to be...but you are extremely ignorant!!! A victim does NOT need to be moved to another country or overseas for the crime of sex trafficking to occur. The definition of sex trafficking is as follows: "it is the action or practice of illegally transporting people from one country or area to another for the purpose of sexual exploitation." She was moved to another "area" by her captor and held against her will forced to engage in various sex acts for money. That definition applies here. Also, the fact that she played the role herself should be commended NOT ridiculed!!! I can't even imagine all of the horrible feelings and fears that must've reemerged while filming. I think the fact that she played this role herself makes the film that much more "authentic". I think the other comments here already make it clear that most human trafficking cases do NOT make headlines. The media seems to care more about politics these days than issues like this. I know everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but I hope in the future you use more compassion and empathy when sharing your thoughts as your words can deeply hurt someone who's already been through absolute hell!!!
