I used to take that road to work for a year straight 5 years ago, and that is probably the most notorious speeding road in Arizona. It’s so bad that leaving casa grande, people literally race each other in the 45mph zone to get in front of the other so they can be in front, and not have to wait behind other cars. I even tell my passengers what’s going to happen before it happens as if I’m predicting the future, and they look surprised when it happens 💀 I make a point to always go 50mph on that stretch, because I’m a stickler for obeying traffic laws, and people pass me left and right. It’s a very dangerous road to drive.

You want a man who’s been demoted, terminated multiple times and on the Brady list to have a larger platform? Of course it “Great PR” that’s the intent along with attracting a large production contract! It’s called propaganda produced, filmed, selected, and edited by the department. It clearly works as the naive and vulnerable fractions of viewers clearly are confused and fell for it.

There’s no walking away from that

When you say "we kept it civil" that could be misinterpreted as a colloquial way of speaking and not the literal interpretation of the law that you're explaining to them. I get it because I know that law, but I just wonder if people think you mean you're just being decent in some way. Anyway I always enjoy the videos and I write a lot of online copy so keeping things clear for all audiences is part of my job. That seemed like it could be ambiguous to someone who doesn't know that law or the difference between criminal and civil speed citation.

50 mph speed limit seems to be a bit slow for that long, straight stretch of road. It looks like there may be plans to widen the road (2 lanes each way). I bet that would reduce accidents and allow a 60+ mph limit. Love your show, Frank!

@bryank7133

@@michaelr9547 there are many side roads with farm equipment and semis entering that highway, which is part of the reason the speed limit is 50. There is also a set of busy railroad tracks running parallel not far from the highway, and when the train stops traffic that is turning onto those side roads, cars can back up into the actual highway. That stretch of highway takes lives on a regular basis, and people treat it like it's an interstate freeway.

Another way to go about it is to plant trees closer to the sides of the road so its not as open, but it doesn't seem like trees like this area. Might be best to make this a divided highway.

Love the videos, Frank! It is a welcome sight to see them every time one pops up on KZitem. You sometimes are snarky, but you never go overboard with it. I find you to be more than fair with the 'customers' whom you encounter. I have been to Arizona a few times, but I don't live there and am not familiar with the highways in Pinal County. I am kind of baffled, though, by so many people driving 70 to 75 mph (several of them obviously within a very short time period) in a posted 50 mph zone. Is it possible that the speed limit is set far too low? Just curious. We have some highways like that in Virginia too. Keep up the good work, keep making videos and - most of all - STAY SAFE!!

The irony of your statement? You do realize your using a deputy in your argument who’s I been demoted and terminated from multiple departments multiple times and placed on the National Brady List a list compiled usually by a prosecutor's office or a police department containing the names and details of law enforcement officers who have had sustained incidents of untruthfulness, criminal convictions, candor issues, or some other type of issue placing their credibility into question? He’s also been sued for an assault of a female while off duty. (If I remember correctly) He has a history of not show up to court so cases get dismissed likely because he’s testimony is deemed untrustworthy by the courts! Maybe your the one with a confused and biased perception of policing? You certainly demonstrated a bad judgement of character as you where easily confused by a few short videos online. The truth is law enforcement is compromised of people and there bad people. Therese bad cops everywhere that’s just reality and topic is very complex. Frank for example just moves around from departments to departments mostly sheriffs due to the week hiring standards. This is a regular practice. The world is an extremely confusing place and the internet is a dangerous and equally deceitful place. It’s not safe for the naive, gullible, sheltered and vulnerable. Be careful.

lol he has a history of NOT showing up for court! Why because the courts don’t view his testimony as trustworthy! In fact, many of the cases you’ve watched where dismissed when they fight the ticket because Frank failed to show up! This is all because he’s in the Brady list for good reason! It’s a list compiled usually by a prosecutor's office or a police department containing the names and details of law enforcement officers who have had sustained incidents of untruthfulness, criminal convictions, candor issues, or some other type of issue placing their credibility into question. It’s kinda hard to sit before a court and when you list your credentials or history having to state all your demotions and terminations for lying and falsifying documents. Then admitting your on the Brady list!

The fact that 50mph on that open stretch of road is a set up in itself! Just pave that road with ticket writing gold! Maybe they should raise the speed limit to 60-65? Obviously its a road that can be traveled at a higher speed. People driving to work could use the income for food and bills instead of helping these cops meet they're quota. Just trying to make a sensible observation.
