Looking forward to seeing what you’ll make with your new fabric haul and I like that you’ll sew it all and not just ‘stash’. You look very pretty in pink! And I love your little addition with the hearts ❤ I feel very horrible for your mark with the friction pen. I’m always afraid of that, too! Well, now you need a dark green one to override the mark 😂 the shirt looks AMAZING! You have a nose for unique yet beautiful fabrics! You took me down memory lane…I, too, bought the Intro to Knits class from SOI. I made the Emma…loved it … but never made the Alice. How do you remember patterns you bought so long ago!!? I think you are right though…it would make a gorgeous top for the skirt. Two weeks to sew in the evenings…you’re going to be taking orders soon, you’re so productive!! I was a bit puzzled when you were excited to be going off to make some biscuits….in Canada, biscuits are what you call scones. So you were off to make some cookies. Ahhh….that makes a lot more sense! I hope they were yummy!

Thanks so much! The Donny is a little oversize. But more boxy than oversize if that makes sense? This fabric doesn’t have much drape , so in a viscose it would be much floatier. Some great makes and that jacket is gorgeous. I have to say, those bright pastels really suit you - the pink, (lemon and turquoise) that I have seen you in before. As for the frixion pen, I have stopped using mine as I heard that if it gets really hot or cold, the marks re-emerge. I now stick to my blue felt pen that is water soluble. Your little boy's top is just adorable and it looks like you are going to have a very fun weekend!

Lovely plans Rachael. The pink really suits you. Did you make the Emma dress? I went on a course for this dress at Sew over it in the good old days- such fun. I’ve just finished the soi Cowl neck dress in teal velvet for a party next week and was about to cut out a Billie dress with puffed sleeves but can’t find my pattern. I love that you make things for your boys. I did a bit, but before I used jersey and now make things for my grandchildren. I also have a singer overlocker from Lidl. How often should one change the blades then? I had to change one that hit a hidden pin☹️a while ago now. Many thanks.

Hope you find the billie! My absolutely favourite pattern! I love making for my boys! I’m no one to talk with my overlocker!! I’ve had that 7 years and this is my first time changing the blades.
