Fried Cheese Pie
Today we make a traditional Greek cheese pie from Evia island! You will find it with variations in many parts of Greece as well as with different names! It is a delicious appetizer!

🥣 RECIPE
Ingredients
500 g all purpose flour
1 teaspoon salt
90 ml sunflower oil
2 tablespoons vinegar
220-250 ml of water
500 gr feta (white cheese)
Pepper
1 egg
Method
We start our recipe by making the dough. In a bowl add the flour with the salt, oil and vinegar and mix well. In the process, slowly add the water until it becomes dough.
Cover our dough and let it rest for 10 minutes.
Meanwhile, add the grated white cheese (feta cheese) in a bowl and mix it with a little pepper and the egg.
Then, we divide the dough into 12 balls, which we then open into thin phyllo dough sheets, on a floured surface.
Place some of the cheese filling in the middle of the phyllo dough sheet and close the dough like an envelope.
Then put enough oil in a pan to heat.
We place our cheese pies in pairs in the pan and when they become golden brown on one side we turn them on the other.
Finally, when they are ready, take them out on absorbent paper. Our cheese pies are ready! Good luck!
