What kind of Delay or Delay/Reverb did you use starting 10.30 starting, I’m only asking bc it basically nails the arpeggiated bridge of Periphery’s have a blast. I always had the gut feeling that it was not their, EVH 5150, PRS Archon, Peavy 6534 or any modeler. If you take this sound double track it, or pan one to the right and the other to the left than you have the album tone. I know they always spoke about their Fractals but especially the Ultra’s sounded so horrible that i never believed a word, The same goes for the Juggernaut album.

BE-100 sounds bigger and more 3D. The smallpox is fantastic but doesn't have the same power or weight behind the notes as the BE
@Quinkermarine
5 жыл бұрын
@@RezaMatix It has more than enough weight. It just doesn't have the same headroom or slight vol increase. Of course the BE sounds bigger, it's 50 watts bigger! The SB isn't the most popular Friedman amp for no reason. If you're talking Madison S Garden then 'weight behind notes' ok, otherwise it's nonsense. Also, no need to splash out for a Wildwood, just stick a Tech 21 in the Smallbox loop and you've got endless gain available.
@RezaMatix
5 жыл бұрын
@@Quinkermarine actually its NOT nonsense. there is a big difference between the IRON in the two amps, and their voicing. If they were the same then there would be no need for a Smallbox, he would have just put a half power switch on the BE. I have a little bit of experience in regards to this both Live and in the studio.

Since, it's the Wildwood Edition, that has 3 channels, Would you consider ch. 2, or channel 3, modded plexi channel? Also, as far as tone goes, do you think the BE-50 Deluxe Tone, is more like a Plexi Sound, or a Modded JCM 800 sound? Hope you're well, Brother Reza. 😎😎😎👊👊👊👊
@RezaMatix
4 жыл бұрын
Sonny Seabury I'm gonna go ahead and say they are just their own thing. I don't hear some of the piercing highs you get with "plexi" amps with the Friedman stuff. It's just so much better to my ears in a lot of ways. A REAL plexi amp is rare as hell and I'm not sure anyone can reference why that word gets thrown at everything. It just sounds great for what it is. I can't say if it's a plexi or not. The oldest Marshall I've ever owned was a 70 watt metal panel 100 watter, and I sold them (had 2). The Friedman sounds better and is more functional in a lot of ways. The only time the ambient Marshall sounded good was with a variac taking the power down to 117v where the amp was designed to be. My suggestion is to head to a GC and see if the Friedman thing is for you. Don't try and compare it to the other amps. Be-deluxe kicks major ass, I don't know how someone that is looking for Modded Marshall ish tones wouldn't love it.

@@RezaMatix Thanks so much Reza, for your thorough explanation. I simply asked you that, since you know so much more than me. I was just simply asking for your opinion, since I value it so much, because of your vast amount of knowledge and experience, which is on a much higher level than mine. We've talked on here, many times before in the past. I had told you in the past that I actually own the BE-50 Deluxe Friedman, with a Friedman 4x12 cabinet, that has 2 greenbacks on top, and 2 vintage 30's on the bottom...I just wanted Your Opinion. I know you talk to so many people on You Tube, that you can't remember everybody you talk too. The BE-50 Deluxe sounds more Plexi-like to me, as opposed to sounding more like a modified JCM-800. I also don't have the Professionally Trained Ear that you have. As you already, most likely know, Dave's close friend, George Metrololous, makes amazing Plexi-Type amps that have Variac switches built into them. The amp that I'm really referring too is the Metroplex. It sounds like a modified marshall 68 . plexi. I literally mean, Identical, when you sit them side by side, which George does, in his videos. George can make any kind of Plexi Amp, that Marshall Ever made, only much better. If you've never watched any of his videos on You Tube, I think that you would thoroughly enjoy them. Thanks again Brother, for your thorough explanation and opinion. It is greatly valued and respected. The BE-50 deluxe rig, will take a while for me to pay off. Living on disability, money doesn't come to me as easily as it once did, when I used to be able to work. I would Never sell my Friedman Ever, but I might, years down the road, have to get myself one of those Metropolous Metroplexes. Have a good one, Brother, and Thanks again.
