So glad you uploaded this! This knot always confuses me despite everyone saying it's quite straightforward. I'll need to try again with this a a guide.

Hi MaiTai, I am considering buying my first scarf ring. Which size would you recommend from your collection on your blog? The most universal one?

Many thanks for the interest in my scarf rings. The most versatile size depends on which scarf formats you use most. For the standard 90 Carrés a Grande is perfect, and it can be worn with 70 scarves too. For Cashmere shawls a shawl ring works best, and for the small silk formats (Twillys, Pochettes/Gavroches) a Petite or Moyenne. If you have any other questions, you can always send me an emailL maitaicollection@orange.fr

This knot originates from China (as one of the eleven basic knots in traditional Chinese knotting). It was invented several hundred years before cowboys started riding the prairies :)

This knot has many names, but I like "Friendship knot" the most. It originates from China (as one of the eleven basic knots in traditional Chinese knotting), and was invented several hundred years before the first cowboys were riding the prairies :)
