@unrepeatable raddish Walter send that tulip just before the invasion (everything before the moment of invasion will remain same) .Sept gave it to walter as he removed it from another timeline before his powers were stripped and kept with him .the exact moment invasion was supposed to take place walter, donald , and the child will cease to exist in present day... Before the invasion: walter made video for peter , the cassette elaborating the plans , donald splicing the plan in walters mind and hiding the child in pocket universe were all done days before the invasion and would remain the same (as that Donald would be from an alternate timeline and will exist untill the moment of invasion like Walter nd the kid for the creation of new timeline from the point of invasion in 2015 onwards)... No one knew that walter and donald were working on the plan as September warned walter well before the invasion in 2012 (s4 finale that they are coming) walter did it on purpose because unless the invasion happened no one need to know the future. Sept powers were removed sometime after 2012 when he warned Walter. Peter and olivia had no idea about the plan or who Donald was because they never met him as they were in different city and Walter never told them . he mailed the tulip to him a day before invasion as if the invasion never happened he will get it and come at the lab and find the tape meant for him and the other tapes explaining his plan on how they were going to do it (in case the invasion happened peter wouldn't get the mail due to impending chaos) .Peter and olivia were living in different city had no idea that invasion is gonna happen in the park otherwise they wouldn't have been there . After the invasion : Etta is lost, walter informs others about the plans and asks olivia to get the unifier so that he can remember the plan (as the cassettes were backup plan) while peter is searching for etta....when walter finds the lab is going to be compromised he makes a final video saying he has left different videos all around the lab with the plan incase he died , leaving the cam on stand and ambering the lab and the all the members of the team including Walter ambered themselves when they felt they are going to be caught..they remain like that till 2036 After the plan is successful : Everything before the invasion remains the same... Walter mails the tulip just before the invasion after he had finished making the videos and the one for peter... moment of invasion Walter , donald and the child dissappear...peter would eventually go to the lab find the video cassette meant for him and the other cassettes detailing the plan ( because no invasion happened the lab wouldn't be Ambered and the final video walter made just before ambering the lab telling that there are cassette throughout the lab wont exist) (the letter Walter send was sent to peter on Los Angeles house thats were they were living which proves they weren't in boston the time around walter and donald were planning)

@@jacobherrera4219 it's kind of a long story; unless you haven't watched Fringe I recommend you to do so. Following this statements there will be some heavy spoilers. Basically, in the second season in the episode called "White Tulip", the Fringe division comes across a time traveler who, wherever he goes, kills people to gain energy. They discover this time traveler wants to go back to save his wife from dying in a car crash and they send Walter, the scientist, to talk to him. Before all of this, you have to know that 30 years before his son Peter had died but Walter, grieving, decided to go to an alternative reality where Peter was still alive and essentially kidnapped him, raising him as his own, damaging the two universes in the long run. During the conversation with the time traveler he tries to bribe him into not changing the past because it leads to heavier consequence as his actions did, worrying that neither God nor his son would ever forgive him. He says he wished for a white tulip signaling the forgiveness of God and, consequentially, his son's. The time traveler goes back in time anyway and eventually dies, but he sends Walter a letter containing that white tulip, and since the Fringe case above hadn't really happened after the time traveler went back it is interpreted by Walter as a sign from God. The white tulip is, throughout the series, a symbol of hope, strength and forgiveness.

@@gaelofariandel6747 there are a few things which id like to know. I just finished watching the show yesterday and I have a few doubts. 1. Why didnt the observers invade alternate universe? They seem to be easily able to travel through the two universes. Is it because they knew that alternate universe's advanced tech would easily defeat them? 2. The observers clearly arent infallible. I wonder how a million strong US army couldnt stop them.. Like, how? They die by a single bullet, just like normal humans. Yes theyre fast enough to catch them, but they're not invulnerable to the bullets. So why not just hire long range snipers to kill them off one by one?. 3. What happened to Olivia's abusive stepfather? He sent a letter to her on her bday, did that part get retconned? 4. Was William Bell evil from the beginning? I think yes. David Robert Jones was working with Bell all along right? So why would Bell sacrifice himself to send Walter, Peter and Fauxlivia back to the prime Universe in season 3? Or am i assuming wrong? Was Bell only evil in the alternate timeline after Peter had retconned it? 5. After Peter's time reset, Peter and his entire effect on the world disappeared. Nobody remembered hin except Olivia. His disappearance changed everything. Now, my question is, in last episode Walter says that he would become a paradox and would be deleted after 2015. So if he would be deleted after 2015,why was peter deleted entirely? Moreover, does this mean that till 2015 Peter and Olivia would live happily with Etta and Walter and then boom, Walter will be gone? 7. My biggest question for last. The observers are known to be able to travel to any point in time right? So why go through all this trouble of collecting rockd, assembling magnet and all that to send Michael to 20th Feb 2167? As far as we are told, September was captured in 2015 while trying to collect the rocks. Subsequently his tech was removed and he was made human. So why didn't he just take Michael to the future before that? Why bother collecting those damn rocks? And im saying that he could move freely through time because observers were spotted at different periods of human history, like world war 1 etc. So why make all that shit up like "we need to make an anchor here and other anchor in 20th feb 2167" etc... 2 final bonus questions: A. How did peter receive that white tulip? Did Walter send it from future? B. So when walter went to future, it means that peter and Olivia from 2015 got to live happily ever after. But for the peter and Olivia of 2036, nothing would change right? This was even argued in Avengers Endgame when they talked about going to the past and killing thanos, but bruce banner said it wouldn't work coz in their timeline, thanos would still be alive. So for Peter and Olivia in 2036, they would still end up living their lives without Walter and Etta right? Unless they could find a way to transport their conscioudness back to 2015.
@MN-vz8qm
2 жыл бұрын
@@AJ-jq3hm I have just finished seing the show, and yes, unfortunately, the timelines and alternate universe mecanics were plot dependent, which is always disapointing 1/ I guess they didn't need to invade the alternate universe. One other point not talked about is where are the alternate universe observers? I don't think there is any hint about even their existence (after all in the alternate universe future mankind might never go the "observer" route) 2/ I think the only time we see an observer get gun downed, it is by the advanced guns designed to kill them. In any case, the observers seem to be able to predict others actions, which would trivialize a war. That being said, this capability (highlighted when Peter turns into one of them) works only when the plot wants it to work 3/ Yep, not necessarily reconned, the writers simply didn't continue on this route. 4/ Yes, no idea what the correct answer is, if there is any. Bell being a bad guy was just the last plottwist the writers thought about, but his motives didn't make much sense anyway, appart from some weird god trip 5/ Once more, no idea. The second when Peter was capable of rematerializing "because", the writers started to do whatever they wanted with the time rules. Technically, the first intervention corrected (by the observers) was saving Peter in the lake by September (in Season 4 I think?), so that Peter would drown in the lake, but come back as an adult by the magic of love or something. But if the observers never existed, actually Peter would not have to be saved by Walter in the first place and would live a regular life in the alternate universe. Indeed, the alternate Walter (the true father of the main character who is actually "alternate" Peter) had succesfully made a cure, and was disturbed accidentally by September. Actual Walter saw the scene, and decided to cross the universes to save Peter. But in this case, he wouldn't need to do it. Alternate Walter would just have applied the meds to his son. So what, there is an adult Peter healthy in the alternate universe, and the one rematerialized at the same time? Walter disapearance makes no sense also. Why would he be a paradox (more than the rest of the cast)? 7/ My guess would be that an observer can only time travel himself? As he is said to be very smart he could have simply studied the kid, then time travel and tell to the people of 2167, but instead decided to bring the kid hence need to build the big machine. A. no idea, last plot twist B. "But for the peter and Olivia of 2036, nothing would change right?" No idea, nothing makes any sense. Either each time you travel back you create a new timeline and the one you left continues, and in this case, indeed all that effort was for nothing from the perspective of the people who have not time traveled. Or if the time line is reset (which actually is implied by reverse logic with the Peter "reappearance"), the kid is never born, cannot be sent to the future, cannot prevent the scientists to go Observer route, hence we end up at the starting point. But once more, Peter magic come back throw any logic to the trashcan.

@@MN-vz8qm ah man I am so sorry you had to type all of that out,but I'm very grateful that you did. Thank you so much for addressing all of my points. I guess all we can do is accept the plot points or lack thereof and be done with it. Season 5 felt so rushed and weird. I want to pitpick some things which didn't make sense at all, but I'll let it be. So all in all, a good sci-fi, with great mythology, but riddled with plot holes. My final gripe is how less of "Peter x Olivia" we're shown. Like we were shown more intimate scenes of Peter with Fauxlivia, John with Olivia, and Fauxlivia with her previous timeline boyfriend, than of Peter with Olivia. Bruh. 7/10. Lastly , Anna Torv is strikingly beautiful.

@@AJ-jq3hm "ah man I am so sorry you had to type all of that out,but I'm very grateful that you did. " Don't be sorry, I am on the exitation of the binge watcher having finished a serie, I was looking for related content on youtube, myself having issues with a large number of script holes. "I guess all we can do is accept the plot points or lack thereof and be done with it." Yeah, it might have been more visible because of binge watching. A decade ago when the serie was aired, there was only one episode per week, so I guess it makes plot twists that much more impressive and plot holes invisibles. "Season 5 felt so rushed and weird." Yes, apparently people back then loved the end because... well, the serie HAS an end, which indeed is better than many shows which were cut half way throught. "So all in all, a good sci-fi, with great mythology, but riddled with plot holes." Indeed, pleny of good in it, I loved the main cast, and here and there the show was truly great. "My final gripe is how less of "Peter x Olivia" we're shown. Like we were shown more intimate scenes of Peter with Fauxlivia, John with Olivia, and Fauxlivia with her previous timeline boyfriend, than of Peter with Olivia. Bruh" Indeed, I couldn't help myself but whine in front of the screen about all the missed opportunities. I remember for example in the case of Faulivia replacing Olivia: For several episodes, we had been shown the sweet relationship Olivia had with her sister and niece, and we had learned that faulivia had lost her sister; not ONE scene about her discovering the sister and niece she never had in her own universe. About Peter and Olivia, the romance went way too fast and turned immediatly into "old couple" mode indefinitly :/ Same thing with their daughter in season 5, it felt like an afterthought (just as their grief, only coming back when plot appropriate) "Lastly , Anna Torv is strikingly beautiful." Indeed, she was perfect for the role, just as Walter was.

I had watched this show since it aired season 1 and when that season finished I remember looking at my mom and telling her, "There is only one way that this show ends. Walter has to answer." and they did it in the most brilliant way where he's not serving judgement for any crime, but taking on a sacrifice to atone.

I think that in this new timeline, the Observers do exist, I mean they still got a chance to evolve in the far future... but just more similar to Michael's kind as September and Walter hoped. So they may still be able to travel time and space, but with compassion and understanding.
@mnomadvfx
3 жыл бұрын
Unlikely. The Observers of September's future had become that way not just for 'evolution' sake but also because the atmosphere itself had changed. From the sound of it they began observing past times to find a suitable place to enter that was at least partially advanced, but not enough to make us a significant danger to them (or so they thought).

I remember reading that Fox wanted to cancel the series after season 4 but they agreed to a shortened fifth season to wrap up the series. Personally I didn't like that huge time jump from the end of season 4 to season 5 but I understand why they did it, and this was a satisfying conclusion to the show. It does make sense too. If you didn't start watching the show from season 1 you would have been completely lost if you tried to jump into it. It was also an expensive show for Fox to make and the viewership had stagnated because the people that were watching the show weren't leaving but on the other hand they weren't getting any new viewers either. So I guess giving something back to the fans that stuck around was a shortened fifth season, which was a fantastic move on their part. Alright time to bring out the dvd's and start binge watching again.

+Marjinal Hacı It was, but enough people didn't dig it. I remember reading something about the studios losing money as they shot every chapter. Just think about the Massive Dynamic facilities through seasons, and the quality of SFX stayed the same because in season it 1 was the best there was but in the last seasons it was the best they could afford. BTW the final season was a gift for hard core fans because creators and studios respected them that much. Don't misunderstand me, I really like Fringe and I still have the DVDs but it was kinda disapponting that because of the audience loss they couldn't do more of it.
