This is the beauty and wonderment of this “social age of media” sharing……staggering levels of teachable moments and hard copy availability for early education to PHD …….as a retired social history teacher “I am in heaven”……and great faith for our future as citizens of the world….

It was nice seeing Dr. Kilroy-Ewbanks (and her incredible book collection) for the first time! The Codex Borgia was also amazing to see. I don't think I've ever seen a book in full pictorial style with accordion folding like that before. It's very elaborate and beautiful to see. I loved the breakdown of Tenochtitlan's pictorial writing and the various sections that followed. Who says life doesn't come with an instruction manual? I empathize with the difficulties of Spanish translation. I grew up around spicy Cuban accents and Spanglish, but feel like I need to learn Mexico Spanish, Spain Spanish, and Latin America Spanish. The struggle is real!

Codex Mendoza folio 67r , the designs in the shields of the 4 Aztec ( about 1300AD ) coincide with the Cretan Hieroglyphs of the Faistos Disk ( about 2000BC )....

I’ve been having an increase in “Aztec moments”- hopefully this will trigger many more.
